Chapter 17: First date, unexpected betrayal
Seeing Caycee comfortable here makes me happy. I didn't think that she'd like it here seeing as she's not so good with meeting new people. As each day goes by I can't help but fall harder for her. There's just something about her and the way she moves so...so..free spirited.
Not going back on my promise, here I am setting up a picnic as our first date. I wanted it to be special for her seeing as it is her first ever date. I want it to be something she'll never forget, ever. I walk out into the backgarden go as far out as I can and place down a blanket. The weather was quite warm so I though why not have a picnic, be different, I start to place out all of the utensils and food on the blanket. I asked aunt may to cook for us, I would have myself but I wanted to make sure the set up was on point.
Once I finished setting I go inside to get Caycee. As I walk inside I see Marcus on the phone looking very shifty. I pause and give him a questioning look and he soon quickly hangs up the phone.
"Who was that?" I ask, the curiosity taken over me.
"Oh uh just a uh an ex" He laughs but it was a nervous laugh.
"You know how they be, can never let go and accept the fact that it's over."
I laugh not buying what he said but let it drop. "Oh, yeah I get what you mean." WIthout saying anything he leaves and I hear a door click, I'm guessing he went into his room.
I go up the stairs to look for Caycee and I find her in our room watching Spongebob. "Hey I was looking for you" I say walking over to the bed laying next to her and placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Here I am." She says laughing that sweet sweet laugh. "Why what's up?"
"I was just wondering if you would like to have that date now?" I ask nervously. I know I shouldn't be but whenever I'm around Caycee I can't help but become shy.
"What right now?" She asks. "Yeah I was thinking a picnic in the garden as out dinner. I know it's nothing fancy but I thought let's do something different." I says laughing.
"Aw, I'd love to" She says grinning at me.
"Good let's go then, it's already set up. I hope you like spaghetti bolonaise."
"I do indeed but wait how did you know that I'd agree to this date? What if I said no?" She says teasing me.
"If you said no well then I'd keep asking you until you said yes." I say trying to keep a straight face.
"To be honest I think you would have anyway." I smile at her taking her hand, leading her to where everything was set up.
Caycee.
There are no words to describe how perfect everything looked. It was literally just perfect. You could really tell how much effort Craig put into setting this up for us. I take a seat on the blanket looking down at all the food that all looked so delicious.
"Craig this is really sweet, you didn't have to go through all of this for me" I say.
He starts dishing out the food and pours me a drink. "I wanted to, I wanted to make sure this date was perfect...almost as perfect as you." He says smiling and I can't help but blush. He always knows the right things to say!
"Aw I made you blush again!" He says laughing at me so I pout. "Stop laughing!"
"Aw I'm sorry, no more laughing I promise."
"Good" I say grinning at him.
And that's how the night went on him making me laugh, complimenting me making me blush which ended up in a tickle fight. But all I know is as long as I'm with Craig, I know I can be happy.
Marcus.
How cute Craig set up a picnic for Caycee.
Caycee...
Caycee..
Caycee, she's a mighty fine girl. I can see why Derrick wants her back so much. I know I shouldn't betray my cousin like this but it's not like we're close anyway besides the money Derrick offered me was definitely not something I could reject. All I had to do was update Derrick on what Caycee's doing and keep an eye on how close her and Craig get. In his words..
'If you see them getting closer seperate them, get them to split up, make them hate eachother, it gives me better access.'
Basically Derricks plan is to kidnap Caycee and leave the country but he can't do that when Craig is always with her keep an eye on her. So that's where I come in with my meddling. Ha they won't know what hit them.
