After spending more time with my sister, I took Tara home. She must have been drained, so she slept throughout the ride home. After some time, we reached our house. It was small, but it was our home. The more important thing was Tara loved our little home.
I parked the car and gently carried a sleeping Tara into the house, bringing her to her bedroom. Placing her softly on the bed, I pulled a duvet over her. A wave of warmth washed over me as I gazed at her peaceful, sleeping form.
My little girl was safe and sound. Oh, how I wished she would stay this small and sweet forever, never growing up.

I kissed her forehead before quietly leaving the bedroom. Then, I headed to my room to prepare for bed, going through my usual nighttime routine. Exhaustion weighed on me, and my body ached from the day. Finally, I lay down, releasing a relieved sigh as I pulled the duvet up to my chin, drifting quickly into a deep sleep.
