The tension between Aanya and her family reached an all-time high. Her parents had made it clear—they did not approve of her relationship with Meera. Each phone call with her mother was laced with disappointment, her father's silence louder than any words he could have spoken. Aanya felt like she was being torn in two—between the life she had always known and the love she had found in Meera.

One evening, after yet another strained conversation with her parents, Aanya sat on her bed, her phone still in her hand, tears blurring her vision. She felt suffocated, trapped between her family's expectations and her own happiness. She didn't know how much longer she could do this.

The weight of everything was too much. She needed to talk to Meera.

Aanya quickly texted her, asking if she could come over. Within minutes, Meera replied, saying she'd be right there.

When Meera arrived, Aanya barely held herself together. The moment Meera walked through the door, Aanya collapsed into her arms, the floodgates opening as the tears she had been holding back for weeks spilled out.

"I don't know what to do anymore," Aanya sobbed into Meera's shoulder. "My parents hate us. They hate me for loving you."

Meera's arms tightened around her, her voice soft but firm. "They don't hate you, Aanya. They just don't understand."

Aanya pulled back, wiping her eyes. "I feel like I'm losing them, Meera. I don't know how to make them see that this is who I am, that this is real."

Meera sighed, brushing a strand of hair out of Aanya's face. "You shouldn't have to convince them of that. You deserve to be loved for who you are."

Aanya's heart ached at Meera's words. She knew Meera was right, but that didn't make it any easier. "I don't want to lose my family," Aanya whispered, her voice breaking. "But I don't want to lose you either."

Meera cupped Aanya's face in her hands, her gaze steady and unwavering. "You're not going to lose me. We'll figure this out together, I promise."

Aanya nodded, but deep down, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was about to break. She just didn't know if it would be her relationship with her parents—or her relationship with Meera.
