Hope Mikaelson thought everything was lost as the god Ken lifted his sword above her head about to take the strike. It might have ended everything. She could have had the chance to be with her family.
But in her last moments, it was if the ghost of her father was pushing her forward reminding her that she still had life left to live.
The Mikaelson lifted her arms in one last attempt to stop the god. As his sword came down to hit her arms, an explosion of light erupted from the tribrid.
The next thing Hope knew she found herself in a random high school in Folks, Washington. Everything in this universe was different. It seemed that supernaturals didn't exist here making the Mikaelson feel even more alone.
She looked for records of her family, but there was nothing. It was if they had died during the Viking times and had never made it to the twenty-first century.
Finally, Hope was able to find the one person that could help her. Bonnie Bennet. Bennet was no longer a witch here, but she was a scientist. And she had written a book on the idea of parallel universes.
Through energy, Bennet believed that anything could be created like a parallel universe. Considering that was the only theory the Mikaelson had to go off of, she accepted her life in this new universe. She was immortal. She had all the time in the world. She would get back home eventually.
If the burst of energy sent her here, it had to mean that Ken was somewhere far away. Somewhere where he could never hurt her friends.
The tribrid was free from responsibility, but she had never felt more alone. It felt like penance. She deserved this. It was punishment for turning off her humanity.
