The rebels approached the front line. Monsters. So many monsters stood guard in front of the palace, protecting it from the Gods and Mortals that made up the ranks of the Rebellion. Fury, Chaos, Dimour, and Pandemonium were out on the balcony above the palace doors. Chaos gripped the gem railing of the balcony as he stared down at the army of rebels below him.

"Doom," Chaos said, using his Doom ability. But none of the Mortals or Gods froze in fear. The members of the Rebellion had lost all fear for Chaos, because of the Guardians. And because they had almost fulfilled the prophecy. Even Exoia, who had seen Synysia die to Chaos' raw power, simply smirked.

"That won't work on us anymore. Our friend, The Burning Ambition, got us all fired up, so fear isn't in the picture anymore," Exoia explained smugly, and the Cinder One grinned widely, the flames that made up her skin and hair flaring up with anticipation.

"Then maybe my minions will. Monsters, kill them all!" With Chaos' direct command, the Monsters charged at the Rebellion, clawing and biting at the rebels by any means necessary. The sheer number of monsters was overwhelming, and, paired with the scorching sun, the battle conditions were less than ideal for the Rebellion.

Within the first six minutes and thirty-seven seconds of the battle, more than half of the Mortals of the Rebellion had died, and most of the Monsters were still living and attacking. The situation was looking dire. The Monsters had the complete upper hand, and the Rebellion was losing soldiers quickly. Then, out of nowhere, a bolt of red shot through a massive number of monsters, leaving them dead.

"What the-," Ataxia started to say something when someone interrupted him, someone they thought had been dead. A God who had died on the front lines of Chaos.

"Miss me?" Ah-Tallo said, waving with his dagger to the Rebellion. His blood-red poncho was ripped and torn, but still together. His porcelain mask was broken in half, showing the left side of his face, which looked completely unharmed.

"How?! I killed you!" Chaos yelled from the balcony.

Ah-Tallo smirked. "My Ichored blood dripped back into my body after it hit the wall, which triggered my regeneration. My body stitched itself back together after death due to my blood healing," Ah-Tallo explained as he started to laugh at his luck. "And now that I'm back, I'm going to get revenge. This is for killing me, and Turmaton, the God of Insects."

Ah-Tallo cut his hand off with his dagger and threw it into the crowd of monsters. His hand exploded, causing most of the weaker monsters to die on the spot. He then dashed into the remains, sticking his hand into the ground, some of the blood going into his hand stump, causing a new hand to form. Ah-Tallo, being the God of Blood, could heal when blood entered his body, which allowed him to survive his interaction with Chaos. Ah-Tallo used the spare blood from the monsters to form a scythe in his hand. He then used it to cut down the Monsters.

"Get moving! We don't have time to waste!" Ah-Tallo yelled to the others as he cut through more monsters with his blood-and-ichor-made scythe. The Gods nodded, drawing their weapons and killing monsters along with the Guardians and Mortals. John Nobody was especially effective, switching back and forth between using magic and his invincible Theoscin sword.

Each of the Guardians was effective at killing the monsters. Cal Jassah knew all the weak points of the monsters and used a dagger to target them. Mystilla used her Dryadic powers to manipulate the plants and nearby ground to incapacitate the monsters. Ku used its claws to slash and scratch at the monsters. Raak used the magic imbued in his core stone to cast magic at the monsters. Cecilia Everfire burned all the monsters as she fought them in hand-to-hand combat. Being made of fire also has great defensive abilities, such as not being able to be hit. Bael, the Eyeless Prophet, couldn't fight, but he received timely prophecies at the moment.

The Gods, too, were powerful in battle, all slaying monsters with their weapons of choice, whether that be Po-Tah and Ataxia using their Godly-based magic, or Marythiya and Exoia using close-quarters weapons. Marythiya, the Goddess of Knowledge, had extensive knowledge of all fighting styles and the wielding of every weapon created, making her a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Finally, all the monsters were dead, their corpses littering the field that the Gods had once worked on under Chaos' tyranny.

Chaos saw his once-massive army of Monsters and Humans now dead on the ground from his view of the balcony. He slammed his fist down on the railing.

"Pandemonium, my son, go. Prove your worth and kill the Gods and Mortals who have betrayed my gift of life," he commanded Pandemonium, turning and going back into his palace. Pandemonium descended from the balcony, the eye at the center of his metal ball frame gazing on the Gods and Mortals.

"I am Pandemonium, son of Chaos, God of Pain," Pandemonium announced, his voice robotic and metallic. Then, his eye turned green and he shot a beam towards the Gods.

"Go!" Exoia yelled at the Guardians. "You need to kill Chaos! We'll hold off Pandemonium!" Exoia exclaimed this while weaving and dodging the incinerating green beam, which left scorched earth in its wake.

The seven Guardians nodded, taking action and running past the beam of light fired by Pandemonium and racing into Chaos' palace, leaving the Gods to fend for themselves against Pandemonium.
