Chaos was on his knees. For the first time since Turmaton rebelled, Chaos was in real pain. When Turmaton had enough of Chaos, he tried to rebel. Turmaton had control over hundreds of thousands of insects, which he used to bite and sting Chaos all over. Chaos had killed Turmaton then.
Chaos was in pain once again, from the Theoscus that made up the blade wielded by John Nobody, the All-Power. Chaos gave a heavy exhale, his breathing long and forced.
"This cannot be possible." Chaos heaved, still clutching the gash on his leg. Golden ichor spilled through the gaps between his fingers, down his leg, and onto the apocalyptic-like sand.
"It very well can be, father," Ataxia said, emerging from behind the Guardians and floating over to Chaos. "Today is the day you finally die, today is the day we are freed from the pain you have caused each and every one of us. Do you have any last words?" Ataxia asked his father, bringing his hands up to command chunks of earth to float in the air.
Chaos chuckled. "You cannot kill me. Try as you might, death is something I will never experience. Not by you, not by the Guardians, not by any other cause or reason. Death is not the ending, because it will never happen. Not to me," Chaos said, saying it as a fact, not as a possibility. It was true, that Chaos dying was truly impossible, nothing could result in the death of Chaos.
Ataxia gritted his teeth. He knew what Chaos was saying was true, and he hated it. He wanted Chaos to be dead, he wanted Chaos gone for good. However, the prophecy did say something about Chaos being locked away, so that's what he was going to do.
Ataxia morphed and changed the rocks that floated above him into hands, hands that went to each and every Giganton that roamed the dusty and barren planet. The rock hands carried those Gigantons to Ataxia, placing them near Chaos.
The rocks changed and morphed, making a makeshift cave around the Gigantons, including Chaos. "If we can't kill you, then we'll lock you away forever." Chaos' eyes widened at Ataxia's statement. It was a real possibility that Chaos would be locked away for eternity, cast away and forgotten.
"Guardians! The prophecy states that you can lock away Chaos using your souls and the magic in them! Are you willing to give up your soul to save the world? To save nature? To save the people? To bring peace to this woeful land we call Chaoctin?" Ataxia asked the Guardians, facing the cave created by himself, all the Gigantons staring back at him.
The Guardians all shared glances before finally coming to a decision. They all looked into their hearts, searching themselves for the soul that inhabited their forms, the single thing that made them the individual they are. Slowly, but surely, the souls of each Guardian left through their chest, each a different color, based on their race.
John Nobody's, the Mageborn, was a violet purple.
Cal Jassah's, the Human, was a cream white.
Mystilla Ryannath's, the Dryad, was a forest green.
Bael Winnoroth's, the Wise One, was an iron gray.
Raak's, the Golem, was a turquoise blue.
Cecilia Everfire's, the Cinder One, was a fiery red.
Ku's, the Monster, was a sunset orange.
The seven different colored souls of the Guardians all ascended into a circle around Ataxia; they had given themselves up to him. Ataxia put his hand out, the souls of the Guardians following it and starting to form a barrier around the cave, one that would trap all the Gigantons, including Chaos.
"Fury! My son! Stop him!" Chaos shouted from the cave, trying to stand, but failing. Fury emerged from the palace, his eye replaced with the one that previously he had sent magically out of his palm.
"Fury, my brother, Chaos will just use you again and again. We can break the cycle, this is our chance to end the cycle of pain our father has created. So please, stand with me, stand with the Rebellion, let us lock ourselves away with the rest of the Gigantons and end this everlasting cycle of pain," Ataxia said, still forming the barrier around the cave.
Fury stood in his cloud, staring at Ataxia with a single eye on his palm. "I understand now, you were only trying to help me, weren't you? And all I did in return was insult and berate you, yet you forgive me, why?" Fury asked.
"I could see you didn't have ill intentions, so prove me right, prove to me that you aren't like our father and will act to prevent any future pain he'll cause." Fury paused for a moment, before speaking.
"I will stand with you, brother. I will stand against Chaos."
