My Love And I

2. The Party

Satang: 

I can't believe it's been almost three years since my hubby and I got together and started dating!  It feels longer because we've known eachother since forever! I love my baby so much, and I can tell lots of my friends are jealous of us because they aren't in relationships! But that's okay! It was great to see my friends from school again too, especially Gemini and Fourth who I haven't seen in years! They didn't bring presents but they brought pizza! Who could ask for better friends right? I don't mind if Winny doesn't give me anything, because he is present enough for me. It took him a long time to express his feelings for me back in the day, when we were in highschool that is. 

Our love story was kind of sweet in it's own way. I had  met him when we were in the same band together, along with Gemini and Fourth, and Auo Boom and Pond and another guy, I forget his name now.  It was so long ago! I'm happy they were all here to witness our third year as a couple yet. I wonder if we might marry some day! The marriage law just passed here in Thailand, so fingers crossed everyone, please!  I was sipping some drinks and chatting with Pond, when my lover came over to me and took my hand.

"I have something I want to ask you in front of our friends." Winny suddenly tells me. I blink, and can't believe this is happening, but am I hoping for too much here?

"Guys thanks so much for coming to witness our Anniversary, it's really special to have you guys here."

"No kidding! We were rooting for you both since day one!" Said Auo excitedly. His boyfriend Boom smacked him over the head playfully. Auo pleaded for forgiveness when the others laughed. 

"Anyway, as I was saying,  Satang, I've loved you since before I met you. Now that we're together, there's something I want to ask."

"Yes?" I ask breathlessly, feeling like some star in a BL love story! 

"Will you marry me?" He held out a box with two golden rings inside, smiling warmly. I couldn't believe it. For a second I could hardly hear myself think or make any sound come out. I was going to answer yes, when the door opened. Sunshine shown brightly on a boy who looked like he had stepped out of a manga novel! But don't worry, I'm not into him, I'm only into the guy who is on his knees on the floor with a ring in his hand. There was a crash from behind me just then.  It was Pond, who accidently broke a plate he was holding! 

"Sorry to disturb you guys, I had know idea! Here let me help you with that!" Cried a boy, rushing over to Pond to help him clean the mess. 

"Don't worry, it's fine. Who are you?" Pond asked.

"I'm Phuwin. I wanted to know if you guys needed extra service here at the club? I'm kind of looking for a job."  Suddenly I remembered seeing him some where before! Yes, he was the boy I saw singing at the Cafe' and I was so happy when my Winny was so into the idea! I rushed over to him and asked if he would like to play for the club, for a job instead of cleaning tables.

"I'm happy to do both! I really need the money." Phuwin didn't say what for, but I was sympathetic to the guy and all heart.  Winny on the other hand,

"We don't need anymore hired help here, but if you can sing, I guess that would be okay." Said Winny softly.  He was looking mad, and I guess he had the right to. Phuwin did come at a bad time.

Phuwin explained that he was facing financial  trouble, and he couldn't pay rent for his apartment and needed some money fast. He said he could work nights if he had to."

"Are you good at making drinks?" Pond asked.

"Yeah, my dad taught me. He used to be a bar tender before I was born."  The gang smiled and begged him to make a drink. In no less then three minutes flat, Phuwin made a drink and finished quickly!  He handed it to Winny who smacked his lips and said it was perfect, again without much animation. 

"You're hired!" I said with a little too much volume in my voice. The others patted his back and congratulated him. Then he asked what sort of gathering this was. I stammered and answered it was my three year anniversary with my boyfriend. Phuwin congratulated us and said he should leave.

"Please stay, have pizza! Oh wait, Winny, you were totally interrupted before, I'm sorry, what was your question again?" I really had gotten so distracted by the new comer. He sighed and said softly,

"Forget it, moment's gone." I looked sad, because my answer was going to be yes when he praposed! I was only joking by saying I couldn't remember. Surely he had to know me well enough by now. I grabbed his and with the box that held the lovely rings.

"Please, put one on me," I begged at him softly.

"I haven't asked you properly yet." I frowned my most pathetic frown I could muster. This made Winny laugh and then he sighed again and repeated the question.

"Satang, will you please be the love of my life forever, and marry me?" I felt myself tearing up almost at once and suddenly wished we were alone for this!

"I will."

The others cheered as Winny put the ring on my finger and we kiss as if we're in some kind of romantic movie. I really didn't want to stop kissing him, but of course I had to and threw my arms around him.

"I love you so much baby." Said Winny sweetly.

"I love you more."

 We relaxed afterword's while chatted with the others and ate more pizza. Not too far away, I could tell that someone was already smitten with someone else. Pond was looking at Phuwin like he looked at no one else before.  Oh yeah, I was already starting to ship them!
