8. Phuwin Winny Friendship

AN: After seeing We Are series, watching Winny and Phuwin together, they are so cute and their friendship is adorable. So I decided to write a little beach scene with just them. For those who ship them together, you'll appreciate this :)

Winny saw Phuwin starring the ocean, with a silly smile on his face. He looked like he was on top of the world, on cloud nine so to speak. He noticed his close friend being rather quiet the last couple of days, and rather distant. Maybe he was just having his own reelections on his life. Maybe he was worried about his sister. Anyway, Winny was always there for him to talk to if he needed a friend, or a hand to hold. 

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I was just thinking about something that happened recently." There was that smile again. Winny smirked back and then pointed at him.

"Something happened with you and Pond, didn't it? Didn't it?!"

"All right it did! We kissed!" Winny smiled and patted his back and asked how it was and weather or not was it his first kiss with a guy.

"Yeah it was my first kiss with a guy, and it was amazing. I never wanted it to end, and I never want to kiss anyone else but him, ever. Win, I think I'm in love, but I don't know what to do."

"Did he ask you out or did you just have a random romantic moment?" Phuwin said happily that Pond asked him to be his boyfriend, and Winny felt very happy for him. Then Phuwin said that his best friend had been married for three years, and asked if there were any down sides to sticking with the same person. Before he dated girls, but none were ever really his girlfriends, just one date after another. He never slept with anyone either. They both sat on the sand together and started squashing the sand with their bare feet like they used to when they were kids. 

"There is never a downside, with waking up next to the same man every morning, and saying I love you to him every night. Of course there are always compromises every couple has to make, especially if you choose to move in together.  Everyone has high and lows but we learn our mistakes from each other, and make sure to talk things out if something bother's us. We don't keep it locked inside us like some kind of secret. Life is too short for secrets." Phuwin was very grateful for his friend's  views on being a serious couple with someone.

"What if it doesn't work out? What if we lose each other as friends?" Winny studied him a minute, and then reminded him that when they were in college, he and Satang stopped seeing each other for a while, because he thought there was someone he liked a little more, and someone he wanted to get to know. His parents encouraged him to date more than one person to gain more experiences and other interests. 

"But you put your foot down and refused! Right?" Phuwin asked.

"No, I dated this girl I used to be good friends with back in middle school. We went out for a few months, but then I realized a while later that, she was only dating me to get her ex jealous. But, when she realized she was in love with me in the end, I had to turn her down, because I said my mind had only been on one person, and it would always be him." Phuwin smiled sweetly, remembering those college days. It was some of the best days in his life, but also some of his hardest. 

"I always thought about Pond, even after he left. I never got over him. I always wanted to be his boyfriend."

"Now you can. Make yourself happy Phuwin, you deserve it." 

Phuwin then made a hard shape with his finger in the sand, and it read, Pond And Phuwin.  Winny smiled down at it, then at him. 

"Phuwin, just to be sure, you never had any romantic interest in me, right?"

"No, I never have. We're brother's and always had been and will be. I'm always comfortable when talking with you, hopefully I'll be just as comfortable talking to Pond soon. He's become very special to me." Winny smiled, feel relieved at this news. They are always going to best friends, and be at each other's side for as long as possible, giving each other good advice and helping each other along the way.

"Thanks for your friendship Winny, I appreciate it very much."

"Don't mention it. Oh, did you find out weather you won the contest yet?"

"No, not yet. You and Satang went to audition, how did it go?"

"Okay, but I think he was coming onto Satang. I saw them together, and he looked like he was into him. Maybe it was just my imagination." Phuwin said he was sure he was just imagining it, that the only man Satang was crazy about was him. Who ever won, Phuwin wouldn't hold a grudge."

"You deserve it more than we do, you need the money more."

Phuwin flushed and said he allowed Pond to pay for it because he insisted he would take care of it, that his family was quite wealthy and that was another thing that kind of made Phuwin nervous about dating him. 

"Don't hold it against him. If you care about him, that's all that matters. Well we should get going, I need to go home and make dinner for my hubby." Phuwin laughed at the word. Maybe one day, Phuwin would call Pond his hubby.

Winny suddenly got a text from Satang, and had to rush off. 

"Baby, we heard back from Moss. We won!"

 Satang was grinning bid. They met each other on the path that lead to the beach. Winny smiled and kissed him, saying how proud he was of both of them. Phuwin wistfully watched them from a distance. How much he wanted that, and he would have it, very soon. They had plans for a first date the following weekend!
