You lean back against the wall of an empty alleyway, heart racing as you observe your surroundings. You swallow tightly and check your phone again. It's half past midnight and you're on a wild goose hunt for a villain with a rare camouflage quirk. You're sure that there's multiple other heroes nearby as well, but with the area you're in and the time it is, they're not going to be the brash and bold ones like All Might or Endeavor.

You're grateful for that, at the very least. If you have to deal with anyone aside from the villain, it'll be other 'underground' heroes such as yourself; the kind that are quiet and ungainly, the kind that only come out this late at night because they want to avoid the spotlight.

You closely eye the walls and the floor, looking for any trace of the camouflaged villain. The report said that the man had assaulted a security guard of a jewelry store, using his clerk to hide by the front door so he could jump the guard at the beginning of her shift, rob the store blind, and make an exit. The report also said that they hadn't spotted a vehicle exiting the store, and that the villain was likely on foot.

You're thankful for your quirk right now; the ability to shoot beams of light through your eyes and hands. It's dark, so you're using your quirk through a single finger to create a makeshift flashlight. You point the light at the nearby walls, and then the ground, tiptoeing through the alley in an attempt to find the villain. Your other hand stays on the stun-gun you have holstered, in case you manage to find him.

You shouldn't be getting distracted, but you can't help thinking of Eraserhead right now. You wonder if the guy's nearby.

You can't stand him. You love him. He's annoying. He's gorgeous. You have mixed feelings and quite frankly you're too busy with work to bother sorting through them. Underground heroes don't have the time or energy to have rivals or date so regardless of what your feelings are, they don't matter.

He has a tendency to show up at the worst times- on the rare occasion that you're having trouble with a villain. Your quirk is useful in one on one combat; you can use the light to blind anyone nearby. Usually, it works long enough for you to be able to restrain the assailant. However, if the person can get around you because of their quirk or has encountered you before, you're at a disadvantage- and as odd as it is, Eraserhead always seems to show up to save your ass during those times in a flash of ebony and ruby red.

You find yourself awfully pissed off that you're in a dangerous situation with a villain potentially nearby, yet you're still thinking about Eraserhead. It's frustrating. He has more offensive abilities than you even though his quirk is so... Passive. All he can do is stop others from using their quirks, but you've seen him beat men twice his size into the ground like he has super strength as well. It makes you feel insecure, inadequate, with your silly light quirk and little stun gun. Yet you admire him, want him, more than anything.

You do well as an underground hero because you're average, a person who lives in a small apartment and does 'freelance work'. Your neighbors think they know you well and you have a few good friends. Your relationship with your family is typical. No one would see you in public and have a clue of what you spend your nights doing.

Eraserhead, on the other hand, is far more successful than you in his career because he's anything but average- a man who frequently bounces from city to city to keep from being found. He doesn't talk to people, and no one knows him, let alone knows him well. He's a few years older than you and rather roguish. He's unkempt with long, uneven curls of raven hair, tired charcoal eyes laced with long lashes and dark bags; ill-fitting, wrinkled clothes, and stubble that's long overdue for a shave. He's the kind of man that, if you told your friends you were attracted to him- no, obsessed with him- the way you are, they'd laugh in your face.
