Not Even MC Would Save You

You're currently having lunch with Beel. And his two brothers. And MC too. There's an awkward silence surrounding the area around the group.

Beel didn't seem to notice though as he kept taking food from your tray and also giving you some from his own. You can feel the stares of the others seeing Beel being acting intimate with someone else when he's usually so quiet.

“You don't have work today right? I want to invite you to this new bakery that just opened”

You don't even want to ask how he knew about your schedule. You put on an apologetic smile and made up an excuse.

“Well my boss said I should be on standby since it seems one of my coworkers is kind of unwell and might not be able to make it so I'll have to cover for them just in case. Sorry Beelzebub”

Beel was disappointed of course but then he promised to wait for you and that he would visit your work later.

“There's no need-”

“I want to visit too! I haven't been there anyway so I also want to try the food”

Everyone turned towards MC who raised themself from their seat and put their hands on the table to lean closer to you.

“Well if the human's coming then I've no choice but to come too”

Mammon looked away while leaning back on his seat with his arms crossed trying to look like he didn't care but he obviously cared. You don't even know when he started getting interested in you too. Was it the photoshoot? Couldn't be.. you were so embarrassing during that whole ordeal he couldn't have been attracted to you from there.

Your eyes went towards Levi who was busying himself with a handheld trying not to seem interested in the conversation but you already caught his eyes glancing towards your direction a few times already throughout lunch. He's definitely intrigued but won't admit it out loud.

‘God why do these former children of yours easily fall into obsession too? Wasn't it enough that they fell from-’

You are not going to continue that thought in case anyone was reading your mind- not that anyone around you could as far as you know but just in case. You'll just have to prepare for an.. eventful shift then. Beel would certainly empty out whatever establishment you're going to work at later.

‘What is this, a family dinner night!? Why is the whole House of Lamentation here!?’

You don't even know how Beel managed to guess correctly just which restaurant out of the many in Devildom that you chose to work at tonight but that's not the most surprising thing. The surprising thing is that he brought his whole family (minus Belphie) and MC here. And you were unfortunate enough to be assigned to their table.

“Are you ready to place your order?”

You kept your customer service smile even as you felt uncomfortable with the number of eyes looking at you. Is it because they've never seen you wear something else other than the RAD uniform that it warrants them to stare at you in your work uniform? It's not even anything special, it's just a normal waiter uniform!

‘I do have clothes other than my school uniform you know!’

The silence was broken by Beel’s stomach demanding food. Everyone snapped out of the trance they were in and immediately put in their orders. You jotted down everything before going to the kitchen and dropping off their orders to the cooks.

Right now you're just standing by while you wait for the orders to be done. From where you are standing you could hear bits of the conversation on the HoL residents’ table. Sounds like they were talking about you.
