Not Even MC Would Save You

You were surprised when Archie put an arm around you and began leading you away. He leaned towards your ear and whispered something that made you shiver.

“We're being watched and I don't think they have good intentions for us”

You wanted to turn and see who or what exactly it was that was watching you but Archie made sure to grip you enough to keep you facing forward and not become suspicious to your follower(s).

Archie led you to a seemingly random alley before pushing lifting you up and opening a dumpster. You cling to him with wide eyes.

“W-wait what are you doing-”

“Shh.. trust me”

He jumped in with you in his arms and the cover drops back down to bathe you in darkness. Though what's weird was that the two of you didn't land inside the dumpster and instead kept falling down in the darkness.

“Archie what the heck is happening!?”

Your grip on him was even tighter than before. A yellowish aura began to surround the two of you as Archie stayed quiet while the two of you keep falling. There was suddenly a source of light in the shape of a square underneath you and your friend aimed towards it.

You closed your eyes for impact and heard the sound of something being opened harshly and closing again behind you. You jostled when Archie finally landed a bit harshly in a different alley than the one you saw before.

“What…?”

“Sorry about that. I hope you don't mind the smell of trash…”

You didn't even notice any smell. All you were focused on was the feeling of falling in an endless void before realising you were now in a completely different place.

You were brought back to the present by Archie taking your hand and leading you away from the dumpster you apparently just came out from. Once you're out of the alley you notice the street to be the one close to your dorm.

“Will we even make it? Actually no it's already past that.. we'll be homeless for the night”

Archie kept walking without giving any other explanation. He was still going in the direction of the manor.

“Archie, we won't be able to come inside. It's better that we search somewhere else to stay tonight instead of risking it”

“Trust me. We'll be able to. Just not through the front door”

You and Archie went through the gates that lead to the Misery Manor. The path was covered in fog and you were already scared if you and Archie were going to be the next disappearance case of the month.

Though like Archie said he didn't go to the front door. Instead he turned to the left and led you through a different path to somewhere near the garden. He stopped when he finally found what he was looking for.

“There. That's our way in”

He pointed to the ground where you see a hidden latch covered by dirt. Archie let go of your hand to crouch down and open it up. You see a ladder leading downwards into the darkness.

“This isn't another jump in and then we'll find ourselves in a completely different area trick again right?”

Archie tilted his head seemingly not getting your concern.

“No? This is just the underground passageways. It's probably built for emergencies a long time ago. Now it's just my way to sneak in or out without worrying about the curfew”

After his explanation Archie went in first before beckoning you to go down and close the hatch. You weren't left in the darkness too long though as Archie used his magic to light up the area.
