Emecy and Beel finally reached the bottom of the stairs and followed the sound of shouting to reach the room where Luke was found.
The boy was clutching a book to his chest while Lucifer was in front of him in his demon form looking angrier than Emecy had ever seen him since coming here. Mammon was trying to calm his brother down but it was to no avail. When he noticed the two new additions in the room he wanted to breathe out a sigh of relief but the problem at hand is still not resolved yet.
“FINALLY! Both of you are here! Took ya long enough!”
Emecy was assessing the room and noticed how it looked like the inside of a church or something. In the very far end of the room was what seems to be a stone coffin with a sculpture on it.
“That's.. a grimoire”
“WHAT!?”
Emecy tilted their head in confusion at Mammon’s shocked expression.
“A grimoire?”
“Yes. It's a book of magic known as a grimoire. Several of them exist. Actually there's one installed on your D.D.D. as well Emecy. “Nightmare” is a grimoire”
Beel then frowned before continuing his explanation.
“But Nightmare is nothing more than a trial version of it. It can only temporarily borrow a demon's power”
He then pointed towards the one Luke was holding which made the angel flinch at his action.
“The grimoire Luke is holding has the power to control a demon. To make them do anything even if it's in violation of a pact”
Suddenly something heavy dawned on everyone's shoulders- especially Emecy who just now realized the stake of everything happening at that moment.
“Everything that we are rides on that book. We can never allow it to be stolen under any circumstances. I didn't realize Lucifer was hiding it here in the underground tomb”
Mammon then snapped his fingers in front of Beel’s face.
“No time to be standing around lost in thought Beel! Get with the program!”
The second born then turned back towards the scared angel who was still cowering from Lucifer.
“Now listen up Fido! What I wanna know is how you ended up lost in a place like this! No one else but us brothers has access to this place! So how'd you get here!?”
Luke's face became confused for a second.
“O-only your brothers? T-then why were they-”
“Just answer the damn question!”
Luke gulped as he tried to calm himself before answering but unfortunately his voice still wasn't steady enough.
“W-well! I-I don't know! Y-your guess is as good as mine! I tumbled down out of the closet in Beelzebub's room and found myself here! And then-”
“Wait”
Luke was interrupted by the voice of Lucifer. Everyone else also froze hearing the first born finally speak again. Their attention was on the Avatar of Pride as he stared down at the small angel.
“Beelzebub's room. Did I hear that correctly? Did you just say the words Beelzebub's room?”
“Uh-oh this is bad..!”
In a split second Lucifer turned towards the sixth born with fury in his eyes.
“BEELZEBUB!”
