Not Even MC Would Save You

You blinked your eyes open and found yourself to be in a sterile hospital room. Your throat hurts and you feel like coughing but doing so only worsened the pain. You see shadows in the corner of your room most likely from your vision getting blurry- wait did the shadows just move?

You blink a few times and you were right. They moved. And it's not just your imagination. There were shadows in the shape of demons with colorful glowing eyes watching you from the furthest corner of the room. One of the shadows- the one with the yellow eyes- smiled and waved their hand at you seemingly happy that you were awake.

“retal uoy ees ll’ew !yeh”

Just as the shadows disappeared the door to your room opened and a tired nurse came in. Though noticing that you were awake they became more alert. They came over to you and asked some questions before going back out to call a doctor. You sigh in your heart knowing that you'll have to go through the whole procedure of questions and answers.

Eventually they came back with the doctor. You were told that you were lucky to even live and all that bullshit you'd hear from some show that has hospital scenes after a near death experience or something. Luckily though they didn't need you to speak much. They told you to just nod or shake your head to answer each question.

When they left you were just about to go back to sleep when the door opened again but this time the one who walked in wasn't a doctor or nurse but instead someone with a familiar head of blond hair and a pair of pale yellow eyes. He waved at you lazily.

“Hey”

Archie grabbed a chair and dragged it towards the side of your bed before sitting down. He placed down a small stack of “get-well” cards on the table nearest to you in case you wanted to read them.

“You're a trouble magnet”

You lightly glared at him. It wasn't your fault that someone tried to kill you and almost succeeded. But maybe it is your fault because you jumped and pushed Emecy aside to save them.

‘Is it really my fault though? I didn't do it on purpose… Something pushed me'

“Do you really think I'm going to allow a lowly human that choice!? THAT YOU CAN HAVE WHATEVER IT IS YOU WANT!? No! You will NOT!”

As Lucifer lunged towards the human you suddenly felt your body moving as well. It was like something was overtaking your body and using it to do what they wanted.

Before you realized it you already pushed Emecy aside and was caught by Lucifer’s hand. The sharp nails dug into your neck as you struggled to breathe. The feeling of your body's control being returned to you was lost as the pain increased in heights.

‘What the fuck even was that…? Could it be those shadows? Somehow I doubt that.. but if something could control me without me noticing then-’

“Hey. Hey. Snap out of it”

You feel hands on your shoulders as your vision comes back. You're in the hospital room again. You didn't notice when your breathing picked up and now you were trying to calm down again.

Archie, noticing that you came back from whatever vision you were seeing, finally sighed in relief. He sat back down at the chair and grabbed one of the cards from the table to give to you.
