Everyone stopped what their doing to look at Tzuyu as she casually strides inside the classroom to her seat. The mysterious beauty that everyone call as their 'princess' quietly sat at the back of the room, minding her own business as she looked outside the window.
On the inside, Tzuyu was internally cursing her alarm clock. It must've ran out of batteries while she was asleep, making her almost late for class. Her bike's chain also got tangled so she tried to fix it quickly. Today was such a weird day with everyone itching to get out of the house, even their mother was up and about earlier than Tzuyu.
She let out a heavy sigh, luck wasn't on her side today. While Tzuyu was preoccupied by her thoughts, her classmates, however, were staring dreamily at her. Instantly swooning just by being at her mere presence.
The bell rang 15 minutes ago, but their homeroom advisor was still missing in action. The maknae was grateful that their teacher was late because she could've been marked as tardy for coming in class ten minutes late but as time passed by, her classmates might approach her and try to talk to her.
As on cue, a few of the stood up, looking at her direction. Tzuyu braced herself like a gazelle trapped in a lion's den but the classroom door opened to reveal their teacher, or at least she thought. It was the blonde girl from before.
Her brown eyes flicked at Tzuyu, there was a slight twinkle of something the maknae couldn't make out. She just suddenly realized that the girl wasn't wearing her uniform, instead she wore a pink off-shoulder blouse and faded jean skirt.
"Alright, class! Sorry for being late," her sweet, bell like voice rang inside the quiet room. She walked behind the teacher's desk, Tzuyu's eyes followed her slim figure as she moved at front center of the classroom.
"Oh, and we have Ms. Yoo today," the blonde's smile reached her eyes. "I'm glad to finally meet you. I'm Minatozaki Sana, your homeroom advisor."
—
Tzuyu was in a state of shock. She was now in the safety of her hidden spot, away from the prying eyes of the entire school populace but she didn't cared for that right now. That blonde girl she helped before, Minatozaki Sana. She wasn't a student at this school, but actually a teacher.
The maknae was so confused. First of all, why was she wearing the school uniform on the first day of class? And second of all, why does Tzuyu even care?
"Chewy~" Tzuyu's body went rigid when she heard her teacher's voice. She peeked behind the bushes to see Ms. Minatozaki looking around the area. The girl—no, woman, was looking for her.
The blonde took one step and literally tripped on nothing. The maknae sighed and went to help her up, just in case history repeats itself.
"Are you alright, seonsangnim?" Those brown orbs stared up at her again which made Tzuyu felt an uncomfortable pressure in the pit of her stomach.
"Chewy, I was looking all over for you," the blonde stood up, uninjured this time. She looked expectedly at the maknae making the younger girl even more uncomfortable.
"Do you need something?" Ms. Minatozaki is her homeroom advisor. She must've needed to talk about her recent absence from class. "Is this about yesterday? I was absent but—"
"What? No!" The blonde woman pouted, which Tzuyu thought was adorable. "I spoke to your mother on the phone yesterday, I'm very sorry about your Star Wars collection."
Her what? Just what kind of excuse did her mother gave to her teacher? Tzuyu shook her head, she doesn't even want to know.
"Why are you here then?" Everything about this new teacher baffled the maknae. Ms. Minatozaki's considerably young compared to the other teachers in campus. Tzuyu even thought they were around the same age. Was she freshly hired from uni? Or was it because she wore the student's uniform? The maknae had to stop thinking for a second, it was giving her a headache.
"Oh! I came to have lunch with you, of course!" The blonde woman said, holding up a tote bag. The way she said it was like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Uhh," Tzuyu was taken aback. Normally teachers would leave students alone if it doesn't involve anything academic, she never heard of a teacher and their student having a meal together before.
"Come on! I'm starving," Ms. Minatozaki whined. She's definitely different from regular teachers.
Tzuyu hesitantly allowed her teacher in her secret lair. Well, it's not so secret anymore. They sat closely next to each other on the wooden bench, even though the maknae could clearly see that the other side of the blonde was quite spacious.
Ms. Minatozaki took out a lunch box and a small thermos from her tote bag. She first poured the beverage from the thermos to its lid, acting as a cup, and offered it to Tzuyu. The maknae cautiously drank from it. It had a slightly bitter and earthly taste. 'Green tea,' Tzuyu thought.
The blonde then poured some for herself and without a beat, drank from the same container. Tzuyu stared at her with eyes widened. What in the world is going on?
"Aren't you going to eat?" Food. Right, yes. Food sounds great right about now. Let's just completely ignore that they drank from the same cup, for the maknae's sanity.Tzuyu mechanically reached in her bag for her lunch box and opened it. It was leftovers from the 'celebration', they still have a lot of it in the refrigerator.
"Wow, your lunch is really... fancy," Ms. Minatozaki said, for the lack of better words. Of course, it's fancy. Tzuyu's father cooks gourmet meals every single day for a living. The maknae was so used to it that she forgot how it looked like for ordinary everyday people that doesn't have a gourmet chef for a father. Sucks for them.
She decided to offer some to her teacher which made her excited. "Eh? Really?"
"Then, can I have that one?" The blonde pointed at the honey and garlic marinated chicken puff. Tzuyu nodded and waited for her teacher to grab her chopsticks.
"Then, ahh~" Okay, so she's not grabbing for her chopsticks then.
Tzuyu popped a piece of chicken in her teacher's mouth, and watched as she carefully chewed and savored it. It was invigorating, in a weird way. Ms. Minatozaki then opened her own lunch box, it was very... red.
"It's not as fancy but it taste good," She explained, and scooped a spoonful of red rice and brought it to Tzuyu. "Say ahh~"
'We're feeding each other now?' Tzuyu thought, as she chewed. She was expecting it to be spicy because of the color but it was actually sweet and tangy. 'Is this ketchup?'
"What do you think? My roommate made this for me, not that I can't cook but I had to be extra early today so I asked her," Yet another detail Tzuyu didn't need to know. It's okay though. It's very endearing.
They ate silently after that, it was hard to talk when their mouths are full. Also, it's impolite. She hadn't have someone to talk to when she's in school, Tzuyu's fine with that. The maknae never really cared for anyone outside her family, because for her they were enough. She doesn't need anybody else. But moments like these are okay too, once in a while. Tzuyu decided that Ms. Minatozaki was alright and that she doesn't mind the blonde's presence.
