PART 27

Taehyung's heart stops beating. He is holding Jungkook's hand, but he lets go immediately. His footsteps can't move. Tears start streaming down from his eyes.

The reason: when they arrive at the hotel, they find Jimin there. "Jimin, hi Jungkook, I come," he says with a bright smile.

Jungkook is frozen, unable to say a word. "J...Jimi...Jimin, how do you get here?" Jungkook asks, his voice trembling.

"I use the money you give me," Jimin replies, his smile growing wider.

Taehyung's face twists in anger. "Do you give him money?" he demands, his voice low and menacing.

"Taehyung, it's not what you think. Please let me explain," Jungkook pleads.

But Taehyung's rage boils over. He slaps Jungkook, his hand stinging. "I hate you, Jungkook!" Taehyung shouts, before turning and rushing to their room, tears streaming down his face.

Jungkook stands frozen, pain and regret etched on his face, his eyes fixed on the door that Taehyung slams shut. "Taehyung, wait!" Jungkook calls out, but it is too late.

Jungkook turns to Jimin with an angry face. "For God's fucking sake, Jimin, why are you doing this? What do I ever do to you? Why are you ruining my life?"

Jungkook's voice trembles with rage and betrayal.

Jimin takes a step back, his eyes widening in surprise. "Kook, I—"

"Don't call me Kook!" Jungkook snaps, his face reddening. "You lose that right the moment you show up here. I think you are my friend, Jimin. I trust you."

Jungkook's anger boils over, his words pouring out in a torrent. "You know how much this trip means to me and Taehyung. You know how much we need this time together. And yet, you deliberately sabotage it. Why?"

Jimin's face pales, his eyes darting around nervously. "I don't mean to hurt you, Jungkook. I just...I feel left out, okay? You and Taehyung are always together, and I—"

"Left out?" Jungkook's laughter is cold and bitter. "You're not even supposed to be here, Jimin. You're ruining everything."

Jimin's face crumples, and he bursts into sobs. "He know Jungkook's weakness, Jungkook... I want to surprise you," he stammers between tears.

Jungkook's expression remains unforgiving. "This is the worst surprise, Jimin," he spits, his voice venomous.

Jimin's sobs intensify, his body shaking uncontrollably. "I-I think you'd be happy... I think we can hang out... like old times."

Jungkook's eyes narrow. "Old times?" he repeats, his tone laced with disgust. "You call ruining my private moment with Taehyung 'old times'? You're not even sorry, are you?"

Jimin's tears stream down his face, but Jungkook's anger doesn't waver.

"Get out, Jimin. Leave now, and never come back," Jungkook orders, his voice cold and final.

Jimin's tears continue to flow as he begs, "Where can I go?" his voice shaking.

Jungkook's anger flares up again, and he snaps, "Whatever, wait here."

Jimin's sobs intensify, and he collapses onto the floor, his body wracked with despair.

Jungkook turns to leave, but hesitates, his conscience pricking him.

"Fine," Jungkook mutters. "Stay here, but don't expect me to forgive you easily."

With that, Jungkook storms off to find Taehyung, leaving Jimin alone, crying and broken.
