It's middle of the night; Jungkook was sleeping, but Taehyung's sobs pierced the darkness.
"Taehyung, baby, what's wrong?" Jungkook asked, panic rising.
Taehyung's face contorted in pain. "Kookie, it hurts so much."
Jungkook leapt out of bed, turning on the light. "Baby, where does it hurt?"
Taehyung clutched his belly. "I think the baby is coming."
Jungkook's heart sank. "Let's go to the hospital."
Taehyung gripped Jungkook's arms. "Kookie, I'm scared."
"Everything is going to be okay," Jungkook reassured. He helped Taehyung dress up.
Jungkook's hands trembled as he helped Taehyung dress, his mind racing.
"Everything will be okay, baby. We'll get through this together," Jungkook reassured, his voice steady.
Taehyung's grip on Jungkook's arm tightened.
"I'm scared, Kookie," Taehyung whispered, tears streaming down his face.
Jungkook pulled Taehyung into a gentle hug.
"I've got you, Tae. We're in this together. Our baby is coming, and we'll meet him soon."
With a deep breath, Jungkook scooped Taehyung into his arms and rushed out the door, speeding towards the hospital.
In the car, Taehyung's contractions intensified, his face contorted in pain.
"Hold on, baby. We're almost there," Jungkook urged, his eyes fixed on the road.
AT THE HOSPITAL.
Doctor Lee rushed to examine Taehyung.
"What happened to him, Doctor?" Jungkook asked, his voice shaking with sobs.
"The patient is experiencing preterm labor," Doctor Lee explained. "We need to stabilize Taehyung immediately."
"What does that mean?" Jungkook pressed, desperation etched on his face.
"Taehyung requires a cerclage procedure to prevent preterm labor," Doctor Lee continued.
Jungkook's brow furrowed. "What's that, Doctor?"
Doctor Lee began, "We'll stitch Taehyung's cervix to prevent it from opening too early, giving your baby more time to develop."
"Let's do it," Taehyung agreed, resolve in his voice.
"No surgery, just stitches, right?" Jungkook asked, seeking reassurance.
Doctor Lee nodded firmly. "Yes, it's a minimally invasive procedure."
"Kookie, don't worry. Everything's going to be okay. Don't cry, my love, please. Wait for me," Taehyung said, holding Jungkook's hand to reassure him.
"Stay strong, Tae, for me, for us, for our baby," Jungkook urged.
"I will, my love," Taehyung promised, then let go of Jungkook's hand.
The medical team prepared Taehyung for the procedure.
Jungkook sat in the hospital, his voice cracked as he dialed Jimin's number, sobbing uncontrollably. "Jimin.......Jungkook stammered.
"Kookie, what's wrong?" Jimin's concerned voice answered.
"Taehyung... he's... in... hospital," Jungkook struggled to speak, tears streaming down.
Yoongi's calm voice joined the call, "Calm down, Jungkook breathe. We're on our way."
Jungkook's sobs intensified.
