                               jake's pov

i was woken up to my phone buzzing like crazy. i slowly opened my eyes and groaned as i stretched before grabbing my phone.

i immediately sat up once i saw the text messages.

fuck.

i quickly got ready and left the dorm.

i stayed up till 4 AM playing video games with sunghoon cause he was bored. this is what i get in return. i bet his ass already made it to the meeting.

as i sprinted through the halls, i accidentally bumped into someone hard, causing both of us to fall down.

i groaned in pain as i carressed my shoulder to ease the pain but quickly stood up to go check on whoever i bumped into. i needed to make sure they were okay.

"are you okay?!" i crouched down. they looked up at me.

it was a girl. she had straight black hair and light brown eyes with light freckles. she had dark brown eyebrows and they were slightly thick. her eyes were wide open as she slowly stood up. she then nodded.

"i'm so sorry, i should've seen where i was going." i said as i helped her up.

"no, no, please, it's fine." she chuckled nervously. i smiled.

"you're.. jake from enhypen, right?" she said. i nodded.

"wow," she let out a nervous laugh. "i'm a huge fan." she gave me a bow of respect.

i let out a laugh. "oh really? that's amazing!" i said. "are you sure you're okay though? you seem pretty hurt." i said, sounding worried for the engene.

"i promise you i'm okay." she smiled. i let out a chuckle and was about to continue sprinting when she spoke.

"wait," i stopped and turned around, "you know ji-yeong, right?" she said. i felt my heart stop.

"j.. ji-yeong?" i responded. she nodded.

"yeah, she says you guys used to be really close back in school but then something happened between the two of you which caused you to grow apart," she said. "is that true?"

my mind completely went blank. why would she say that? and how does this girl know?

"i'm sorry.. who are you to her?" i asked the random girl as i took a step closer to her.

"i'm just a close friend, i asked her if she knows you because i did see you two talking at that barbecue restaurant a few weeks ago. you two looked pretty close." she responded.

"right." i let out a nervous chuckle and crossed my arms.

i sighed. "uh, yeah, we used to know each other back in middle school." i smiled. "ah," she responded.

i cleared my throat and took another step closer, "did she say anything else though?" i whispered.

"oh.. well, she only said that." she said. "why?"

i slowly nodded and backed up a bit.

ji-yeong knows who i really am.

ji-yeong's pov

"this is one of the best cafe's in seoul, you'll like it." my cousin said as we entered the cafe.

after i finished practicing with my members, my cousin called me up and asked to hang out, i couldn't say no. she picked me up from the building and brought us to her favorite cafe.

the cafe's decorations were so cute. luckily, today wasn't crowded. it normally is.

"should i go order and you go find a table?" i asked her. she nodded and started looking for any empty seats while i walked up to the reception.

"hello, welcome to cloud cafe, what will be your order for today?" the cashier asked.

"yes hello, can i just have two iced lattes? medium sized." i said. she nodded and typed it into the register.

"alright, your order will be ready in a few minutes but one second let me grab your receipt." she said and walked to the back.

i looked around the cafe as i waited for the cashier to come back. gosh, it was just too cute! the vibes to it was also amazing.

"excuse me," i heard a voice beside me speak. "i'm sorry but you got my order wrong. i asked for a matcha, not a black coffee."

i looked over and saw a man with blonde hair. his skin was glowing and he had heart shaped pink lips. wow, he's gorgeous.

once he turned his head over to me, i looked away.

".. jake's friend?" i heard him say. my heart skipped a beat.

jake's friend?

i looked at him and raised a brow.

"me?" i pointed at myself. he nodded.

"yeah! you're jake's friend, right?" he asked. i chuckled nervously.

"well-"

"you're the reason why jake bought me that book! i've been looking for it everywhere, thank you so much." he gave me a bow of respect with a smile. so this is the friend jae-yun was talking about.

"o- of course, i'm glad you liked it." i smiled. "i guess we have similar taste then." i said, we both chuckled.

"actually, i don't really read books as much. but my sister started to recommend me a few books this summer and one of them was that book." he spoke. "i found the plot really cute so i started to look for it, but had no luck since it was sold out everywhere." he sarcastically frowned. i chuckled in response.

"but thanks to you, i eventually got it." he smiled. "gosh, i really owe you something." he said.

"oh, let me pay for your order!" he suddenly said and took out his wallet.

"what?! no, no, please, you don't need to do that!" i immediately panicked.

"why? it's okay, i promise." he said laughing as i tried to stop him from paying. i felt so embarrassed.

"come on, seriously, you're gonna make me feel bad." i whispered to him as he continued to laugh.

eventually, he ended up paying which made me mad. i seriously hate it when someone has to pay for my food, i always feel bad afterwards.

"ah, come on, cheer up, you get free food!" he said with a smile as he patted my shoulder. i cracked a smile.

"by the way, i'm sunoo. i'm a member of enhypen." he smiled.

"i'm ji-yeong, Kim Ji-Yeong." i gave him a bow of respect.

"i'll see you around, ji-yeong!" he said. i gave him one more bow of respect as he walked away.
