I would had never guessed that Abel would had been the one to save me from a kidnapping and possible death.

He put his fingers on my lips, signaling me to not make a sound. He then gently took my hand and helped me up off the chair, trying not to step on Gwen and Arthur on the floor. "How did you know I was here?" I asked him as we ran out of the abandoned house and out of the back door. Before we could run away, he pulled me to the side and held my shoulders, making me feel stiff. "I heard your screams when I was running off from something. I saw someone, or something in the bushes. I figured why not check it out, til I then figured it was your screams." I looked up at him while I kept shaking, my body was terrified, my mind was a little less. "How did you know it was my screams?" I ask him, him giving me a smirk as a response, "I'll let you think on that one." My face flustered up with red, at least someone heard my screams.

As soon as we finished our conversation, we ran off into the rest of the woods, where it was only dark and cold. Just us. I still couldnt believe that there was an alliance with Gwen and her boyfriend. Still unknowing if that was a part of the game or not. Were they trying to kill me? Maybe torture me for some reason. Abel saw me thinking and spacing out, we stopped running and he snapped his fingers in front of me.

"Hey, you alright?" He asked me with genuine concern. I responded back with a more soft voice, "Yea, just thinking on what just happened. I'm just still a little shocked is all." Abel looked a little relieved, I'm not sure why but of course I assumed the worst. "You're happy im traumatized?" "No no no! It's not that. I'm just happy you're not having one of those episodes again. But I do apologize for everything. And about Gwen." He knew I was pissed about him and Gwen, my eyes darting to his eyes once he spoke about her.

"You like her, dont you?"

"Like her? I saw her as a friend, I never liked her in that way."

"I saw you." I took a pause between my statement, hesitating to finish it. "I saw you wrapping your arm around her. No friend does that to another friend." I saw his eyes flare up, and at that point I feel scared for my safety.

"I was drunk, okay? I love you and only you, I'd never cheat on you." For a moment, I didn't know what else to say. I mean, theres physical evidence that he was flirting. Maybe he was actually just drunk, it's a possibility, but not a convinving one. I was too afraid to say anything else, not wanting to upset him further. So I stayed silent. "Fine."

It was a little past 30 minutes, perhaps 37. The morning only got darker and colder, surprising for the summer. Me and Abel were still running along the woods, finding more of the flags. "All we need is to find the flags and get the fuck out of here." He roughly told me, not even trying to explan the plan, just stating the obvious. "Thats it? What about Monet and Jace?" Abel looked at me and scoffed, finding some wood and holding it on his shoulders, "Monet is fine, and Jace is waiting on us at the finish line. Stop being like that and focus on us, not other people. These are times where it's every man for himself and to not be thoughtful about other people." I scoffed at his misogyny and crossed my arms, "Every man for himself? Really? So why did you even save me?" My sarcastic tone made him furious and dropped the wood on the ground, making a loud noise, alerting me to just be quiet. Eventually we both reached a little tent area and rested there for a bit, Abel placing the woods down and rubbing them together to create a fire. The wind kept blowing on the fire towards us as I cuddle my knees to my chest, rubbing my arms together to feel heat.

That moment raced through my mind when he dropped the wood, making me worry enough to speak up about it. "Do you think anyone heard us?" But he ignored me, but it must had gotten him thinking since he raised his eyebrows, he cleared his throat and rested by the fire place. "We're fine. We're safe." I cut him off to prove clear evidence, "The fire is signaling that we're here, that loud bang from the woods that you dropped, we're easy targets, Abel!" Before anything got too heated, we heard a branch snap behind some trees and bushes and both let out a small gasp. The heat of the moment died down a little bit, I looked at one of the bushes and saw the tall man again that I saw earlier, my heart sunk and tapped on Abil's shoulder to get his attention. "Do you see that?" But for some reason, he didnt see the person I pointed at. He shook his head and rolled his eyes, somehow not believing me after all of the shit we have seen. The man then just disappeared, now I know it's not a person at least. I just really want food right now. "Of course you wouldn't believe me." I mumble under my breath, looking up at him to see him looking around as if trying to see if anyone was watching, then proceeded to whisper in my ear. "We're leaving. Now." I look around, then seeing rustling in the bushes and immediately starting running, Abel holding my hand while we kept on running, I could see the sky turn a little bit red before Abel letting go of my hand and pushing me on the ground, I cried out to him, seeing him leave me. The wind in my hair kept going all over the place, noticing I was in another episode. "Shit, shit! Wake up, Cilla." Abel gently kept slapping my cheeks on my face to wake me up before picking me up and running in bridal style.
