Monet called out to Jace, but his head was already torn off of his neck and lying on the ground with his tongue sticking out, and what seemed to be a note sticking onto it. I could feel myself almost passing out, I never dealt with blood well that much, not at all actually. Before anything much happened, Abel looked down at Jace's head and saw the tiny note. Bending down and picking it up, he read it carefully while wiping the blood off of it. Some words were faded due to the dried blood, but it was still readable.
"Look under my bed, there's something I'd like you to see. I hope this goes to the right person. Or people." The note says. Abel crumbled the note and threw it behind him as if nothing he saw even happened, walking away towards the woods. I stop him before he goes any further, my eyes staring into his with pure confusion. "Where are you going? What did it say?"
He turned around and looked down at me, his eyes were getting red by the second. Did he smoke something when I wasn't looking? "Look. I'm just as sad as you are, he was my best friend. But you can't cry over a person who isn't worth the tears." My eyes widened and slapped him, "Why would you ever say that? He didn't do anything to you. He might be your best friend, but he was our friend too."
"Guys! Please." Monet cried out while on her knees, hugging Jace's head against her chest while crying. I can tell she really did love him, we all did. The thoughts of him dead I couldn't bare, he was like a brother to me. The sounds of the fleshy generator stopped, all the lights in the cabins that were flickering now stopped. Maybe they blew out. From a distance you could probably hear all the lightbulbs shattering, we all huddled in a tiny circle while our backs pressed against each other, looking around in all angles to see what was happening. That was when we all saw the girl from earlier, the one who was staring into the window. "Who the fuck is that?!" Monet yelled out, holding my hand tightly in fear but confusion. "You guys see her too?!" I asked, watching as the girl came closer and closer by the second. Our first instinct was to run away towards Jace's cabin, running up the stairs and locking the door.
Abil pressed his back against the door in case she tried to break the door down, his hands spread apart holding different parts of the door with enough force to almost break it.
"Hold the door not fucking break the door!" Monet screamed at him while the intense tension stopped. It went quiet for a few seconds, once after it went quiet, Abel stepped away from the door and sat down on the couch exhaustively, trying to catch his breath. "Jesus, who was that?!" He yelled out, looking at the both of us, specifically me. "Was that who you kept seeing?"
I nodded my head, having my arm behind my back, my other arm scratching my arm behind my back. I felt the awkward tension in the room, but then again, I was still super shocked that they finally saw her too. "I'm surprised you guys saw her. She looked so humanly this time."
"Maybe she was your imagination last time. Hallucinations can happen once after a while you don't eat or drink anything." Monet spoke while taking out food from the backpack, giving it to all of us and started eating. I looked at her confused, replying back sharply. "It was not my imagination and not hallucinations either! I fucking saw her and you can't tell me what I did and didn't saw cause I can tell you right now that I am done listening to everyone telling me what to do, what I saw, and what I look like. So would you please be nice to me just for this once?!" I left her and Abel speechless, Abel smirking while eating, trying to hide it.
Monet stuttered her words before speaking again, "Pri, you know I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry I made you feel that way" She looked over at me and hugged me, putting her hand behind my head in a soothing way. I never want to fight with my best friend, especially with what's happening around us.
"I love you, girl. Okay?" I nodded to her while smiling, if nobody would believe me, I know my best friend would. Always. Abel saw the way we hugged and scoffed, crossing his arms and leaning against the front door. "You guys really want to be hugging right now when we have much worse matters to deal with?" He spoke out to us, his pointer finger pointing up towards the ceiling of the cabin. We both stared at him in confusion, looking up for a few seconds before hearing creaking sounds, then later faded into light footsteps along the ceiling.
