The huge metal gate of the palace stood shimmering as the metal tinkled from the sun. Felix stood near the gate waiting for Seonghwa to arrive to go to the festival as their plan. He was somehow excited yet nervous. Even though Seonghwa had assured him that nobody would notice, his heart was still inconvinced. He apparently couldn't afford to do anything that could make the king displeased.

He took a heavy breath preparing himself mentally that thinking about it would ruin his moment of liberty he was about to get. After like an eternity Seonghwa finally arrived making Felix sigh in relief. The other man had the same smile as he had when they met yesterday for the first time, clearly excited..

Felix glanced at the man approaching him, who was undeniably charming, of course he should have as an entertainer his work was all about alluring others to his charm. He has long black silky hair up to his shoulder, slight glitter on his eyelids and a pink-white colour combined hanbok. And for Felix's surprise a bag seemed like it was full of clothes.

"You're already here?" Seonghwa asked as he saw Felix at the exact place where they were supposed to meet, in a simple light pink hanbok, his hair was so long almost like a woman up to his hips. His face was confused that Seonghwa couldn't certainly say why.

"Yeah, why do you have this bag with you?" Felix asked, his curiosity forcing his tongue to slip for the question. Seonghwa looked down at his bag then Felix, as he chuckled, "oh, it's just, since we're going to a festival we might buy something so if we buy something we can keep here." He answered with a slight hesitation as if it wasn't exactly the intention of him bringing that bag.

Felix gave him a frowned look, before he asked something, Seonghwa nervously laughed placing a hand on the blondie's shoulder, "Aren't I so thoughtful?"

Felix's eyes narrowed with suspense but he didn't pay much attention, he shouldn't be too skeptical at everything he thought before he nodded approving Seonghwa's hand to entwined.

They walked through the serene place of the palace estate as there were just a few houses of noble men here and there near the palace. Felix looked around in curiosity, it was the first time he had placed his feet outside the palace's gate, and he could say that it's breathtaking, feeling a sense of liberty out of the suffocating walls.

Seonghwa glanced at the shorter male next to him, he smiled a little at how curious the painter looked. "Yongbok?" Seonghwa called pulling Felix's attention to him.

Felix looked up at Seonghwa, his cheeks tinged with a faint pink as he replied, "Yes?"

Seonghwa chuckled softly. "You look like you're seeing the world for the first time," he teased, his gaze warm and full of understanding. Felix's lips curved in a shy smile.

"It's my first time outside the palace since… I don't even remember," Felix admitted, his voice barely above a whisper, as though afraid the walls might somehow hear and drag him back inside. The freedom he felt was fragile, and he was wary it might shatter at any moment.

"Then today will be a day you won't forget," Seonghwa promised, his voice gentle but confident. He gave Felix's hand a reassuring squeeze, guiding him through the stone streets. The scent of blooming flowers drifted through the air, and the distant hum of laughter and music beckoned them toward the heart of the festival.

As they approached, the village square was already bustling with activity. Stalls lined the streets, selling everything from handcrafted jewelry to colorful fabric and exotic spices. The sound of drums and flutes blended harmoniously with the laughter of children, and Felix's eyes widened in wonder at the spectacle.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Seonghwa whispered, his face softening as he watched Felix take in every detail.

Felix nodded, his gaze fixated on a group of dancers who moved gracefully in sync, their bright costumes whirling in a vivid blur. "It's... more than I ever imagined," he breathed out, feeling the weight of his life within the palace melt away, even if just for a fleeting moment.
