There would always be an urgency when there is someone who you love, someone who you care about. That's what Anna was going through in the past two days. She has questioned herself did she do right or not by demanding her husband this.
Yet, a desire to be portrayed by someone professional, and own painting hung on the big wall of the palace pushed her to the edge. That she couldn't contain her desire within herself. She has trust in her husband, he would have brought the piece of moon if she would ask. Oh, how loved she is that's what was planted in her heart.
"Raising her head like, how he raised her standard"
Wasn't just a normal line written by a random person who loves to be lost in the fantasy of romance, but was a line written which contrasts with the reality. That's how this matters to the queen. How she has her standard high in the loyalty of her king. Oh why you're lying that much... I'm not even lying.
Hyunjin loves his queen so much, it's fair enough --there would be barely someone who could replace her place in his heart--.
Her eyes hold the gleamer as her desperate gaze met with king coming out from the carriage. Without leaving a second she engulfed Hyunjin in her embrace, her safe place.
Hyunjin chuckled at his queen's desperation, softly stroking her head resting on his chest while his gaze flickered to the painter who came out from the carriage.
Felix met his gaze with Hyunjin, their eyes locked with each other. Felix held a hint of uneasiness in his eyes, slightly having the blur memories of being so close to the king even if it was forced. While Hyunjin had someone in his embrace who he loved the most yet feelings were the biggest betrayal.
"I miss you, my lord," the queen softly said as she let go off Hyunjin. The king darted his attention to his queen meeting with the warm smile of her, he would be a sinner if he became the reason of this smile to be fade.
Hyunjin softly approached her cheeks, delicately tracing his fingers on it. "I miss you too," his voice was so gentle that it was like blended with honey, covered with the tenderness of velvet.
It was surprising for Yongbok to witness this side of king, he got that this gentleness of this monster only meant for his queen, right?
The queen blushed, her cheeks turning red in this shivering cold Morning yet sun was blazing in the sky.
Her attention darted to the painter standing there, which made her momentarily freeze at the spot. Yongbok smiled at her awkwardly and bowed with the respect.
The queen was so amazed to be react anything making everyone bewildered. Her pink lips parted in the adoration.
"My king, did you bring art or artist?"
Felix felt the softness of pink spreaded across his cheeks yet slightly embarrassed. The king just stared at the painter, he himself was amazed at the art he had brought just to snatch it's value, it cost millions but the people were blind.
Yet we couldn't lie that queen was anyless beautiful...she was the creation of deities in leaisure. How beautiful she looks when her petite figure had the hold of white gown shining like the diamonds in the depth of Ocean, her cherry lips like they took the years to blend it perfectly on her features. Her eyes, her gaze were soft as if they would melt the stone heart yet indeed they did... melting the heart of the stone of the king.
She approached the painter giving him a gentle smile to welcome him. "I'm honoured that you take your time to be here..Yongbok." she gratefully greeted him. Oh who gonna tell her that this honourable visit had a mystery behind it. By that Felix took a mere second to change his glance to the king where there was no expression like it was all happened with his will.
"It's my pleasure queen, You're so beautiful.. I'm afraid I may hurt this beauty," Yongbok smiled tenderly just to cut by the king's step nearing to them.
"If it comes to happen, I would severe all your fingers," Hyunjin stated with a dark gaze, making the painter's smile fade. Meanwhile, Anna glanced at him in a slight afraid yet bewildered manner. She knew her king wasn't as soft as with her to others and it was the main reason for her high standard. Honestly, she never wanted it to be changed.
"Don't worry my king, According to the compliments i have heard about Yongbok and his ancestors I don't think there would be any better artist to potray royalty, am I right..The painter?" She aked with furrowing her brows. Felix could feel the pride in her voice.
Oh could he mistaken that this queen also possess royalty.. for whom everyone was like animals.
"I will try my best to not to dissapoint you, your majesty," felix bowed to her. Queen nodded her head.
"You must be tired, take a rest for today, you can start work from tomorrow," the queen order, yongbok bowed at her, while Hyunjin examining all this.
The queen asked one of her maids to take Felix to the room set for him. Who didn't question anything following the maid.
Hyunjin looked at the painter going and another second his waist wrraped by Anna. Hyunjin lowered his gaze to the queen.
Queen closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of the king engulfing her, melting on that comfort-ness.
"I missed you so much my king, it felt like walking on the edge of sword when I was waiting for you," she softly stated.
Hyunjin chuckled softly, but the laughter didn't reach his eyes. "You're too dramatic, my queen. It was only two days."
"Two days too long," she replied, pulling back slightly to gaze into his eyes. "You know how I feel when you're away. It's like a part of me is missing."
Hyunjin felt a twinge of guilt. Anna had every right to expect loyalty and affection from him, but his heart had been tugged in a different direction ever since he brought Felix into their lives. "I'll never leave you for long again," he promised, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
As the queen leaned in, Hyunjin's heart twisted. He could feel the warmth of her love, but a flicker of unease ignited at the thought of the painter. He turned his gaze away, searching for the small figure of Felix, who was disappearing into the palace's grand halls.
"Did you discuss the painting with him?" Anna asked, her excitement palpable.
"Not yet. He’ll need some time to settle in first," Hyunjin replied, his tone more curt than he intended. He didn't want to share his thoughts on Felix's talent or the way the painter seemed to capture beauty in a way that even the king's cold heart could appreciate.
"Are you worried?" Anna asked, her brow furrowing as she studied him.
"Of course not," he snapped, a little too quickly.
Anna raised an eyebrow. "You're lying."
"Anna..." Hyunjin sighed, running a hand through his hair. "He's just a painter. There’s nothing to worry about."
The queen looked at him with knowing eyes, then stepped back, crossing her arms. "You're acting strange, my king. You've never been this way before. If you have concerns, you can share them with me."
Hyunjin felt trapped. "I assure you, everything is fine," he said firmly, but the tension in the air was palpable. He could see her disappointment, and it clawed at his chest.
"Let's go inside. We shouldn’t keep the court waiting," he suggested, hoping to divert her thoughts away from his unease.
