"Tomorrow marks the true beginning of my journey," Velgrim thought as he gazed out at the academy grounds from his window. The sprawling campus was divided into several distinct sections: the Magic Faculty, where aspiring mages would hone their arcane skills; the Warrior Faculty, a rigorous training ground for bowmen, spearmen, swordsmen, and other combat specialists; and the Theory Faculty, where the principles of strategy, tactics, and cultivation prowess were taught to blend the disciplines of magic and martial arts.

While Velgrim prepared for the challenges ahead, his older siblings, Caden and Cyra, were embarking on a mission of their own. They had ventured to the Empire of Aetheris, home to the academy, to a hidden location in a shadowy street-a secret base from their time as students. Minutes earlier, several third-year students had arrived at the base, a clandestine meeting underway.

Caden, his demeanor serious, addressed the gathered students. "It's been a long time, everyone," he began, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "We have a special request for all of you. We need you to destroy Velgrim. Use whatever means necessary to bring him down."

The third-year students nodded in agreement, their expressions grim. In the corner, Cyra watched with a cold smile, her eyes glinting with mischief. She stepped forward, holding out a small vial containing several strange pills. "Take these," she said, her voice soft yet commanding. "These pills contain a power boost, blessed by the Divine God, Cancer."

This revelation hung heavy in the air. It was the first time the name of one of the Twelve Divine Gods was revealed, marking a significant moment in their hidden war against Velgrim. The students accepted the pills, their resolve strengthened by the promise of divine power.

Back at the academy, Velgrim was unaware of the plot against him, focusing instead on the day ahead. As dawn broke, he joined the other students in the grand hall for the official start of their training. The headmaster, standing tall and imposing, welcomed them once more. "Today, you begin your journey in earnest. The challenges you face will forge you into the mages and warriors of tomorrow."

Velgrim's gaze swept across the hall, taking in the faces of his peers. He knew that not all of them would be allies. Some, perhaps many, would see him as a rival to be bested. But that was expected. He had plans of his own and wasn't about to let anyone, not even his own siblings, deter him.

Classes commenced with rigorous exercises in both the Magic and Warrior Faculties. In the Magic Faculty, Velgrim delved into complex spellcasting, his innate talent shining through despite his attempts to remain inconspicuous. He mastered spells with an ease that drew the attention of instructors and students alike.

In the Warrior Faculty, his prowess with the sword was equally impressive. Velgrim's movements were fluid and precise, a testament to his years of secret training. His combat skills were not just physical; they were a blend of magic and martial arts, creating a style uniquely his own. The instructors noted his exceptional ability, though Velgrim could tell they were also wary, sensing something unusual about his strength.

Meanwhile, the Theory Faculty introduced him to advanced strategies and tactics, teaching the students to think critically and creatively about their approaches to battle. Velgrim soaked in the knowledge, already formulating ways to integrate these strategies into his own training regimen.

As the day drew to a close, Velgrim returned to his quarters, his mind buzzing with new information and plans. He knew that his journey at the academy would be fraught with challenges, both from the curriculum and from those who wished to see him fail. Yet, he felt invigorated. Every obstacle was an opportunity to grow stronger, to reclaim his former power, and to ultimately surpass his old self.

In the shadows of the Empire of Aetheris, Caden and Cyra plotted with their allies, unaware that their machinations would only serve to sharpen Velgrim's resolve. The name of the Divine God Cancer had been revealed, and with it, the first step in a larger confrontation between Velgrim and the forces that sought to control his destiny. Velgrim, however, was determined. He would navigate this path carefully, biding his time until he was ready to reveal his true power and challenge the gods themselves.
