Lyra stood in shock, her eyes wide as she processed Zariel's words. “Do you even realize what you just said?”

Zariel, remaining calm, replied, “Sister, let me explain the details.” He recounted the events that had unfolded, detailing how the twins had tormented him, even as Damon and Theron had bullied him in their defense.

Lyra reflected on those moments, recalling how she had seen Zariel as weak and pathetic back then. But now, she was stunned by his recent victory against her in their family sparring match, which had opened her heart to her little brother.

“So they’re going to destroy us for what reason?” Lyra asked, a mix of concern and determination in her voice.

“I don’t know. We’ll find out on the day of the exam,” Zariel replied.

“Okay, I’m going to prepare too. If what you said is true, I need to be ready,” Lyra said, her resolve strengthening.

“Good luck, sister,” Zariel encouraged.

“Yeah,” was Lyra's last response as she turned to leave.

After the instructor finished speaking, he vanished from sight. Thalor smirked, “Don’t worry, Instructor Kaelith Morgrave. I won’t disappoint you.” He turned to his companions, Elowen and Sylas. “Did you hear that?”

“Yes,” they replied in unison.

“Do you remember the pills given to us by those twins? We need to feed them all to the strongest monster in the Forests of Dawn. Bring Kaelan and Garrick with you, and let’s leave tonight.”

Elowen and Sylas nodded, eager to follow Thalor’s lead.

As Thalor's mind raced, he thought, Instructor Kaelith’s dark mana has grown stronger. How many people has he sacrificed in the last five months? This is all for the Divine God of Cancer. A sinister laugh escaped his lips, echoing his malevolent intent.
