note: hey guys! THANKS FOR 2.9K VIEWS 🎉🎉🎉🎉 (never expecting this much audience) I know it's been a long time since I updated this story, but I was busy with my college life, especially with my studies and my role as an officer in my course. I didn't have time to update any of my stories. But no worries because I have a few chapters in my draft that will be soon released. mwuah ADVANCE HAPPY NEW YEAR.

After the guy confessed, he knew nothing, I dropped his collar, letting him fall hard to the ground. Clutching his throat, he coughed, trying to take deep breaths. Once the fight subsided, I turned back to the others, meeting their eyes. "Scram," I said, and with that single word, they ran away as fast as they could.

Hearing Sakura and Suo's triumphant voices, I decided to leave the scene before they noticed me.

Third PoV:

While the group celebrated their victory, Suo noticed a presence in the corner. His eyes darkened, and for a moment, when Nerei called out to him, his expression changed immediately. He wondered who it was. After the girl was safe to go on her own, they stopped by Cafe Pathos, as Sakura suggested.

Suo, still deep in his secret investigation of who was there, was surprised to see someone seated at the counter talking to Kotoha. It wasn't Umemiya or Hiragii. It was someone he'd met once, twice, to be exact.

"Lovely, seeing you here," he said to Okami, whose expression changed quickly. "Aw, I'm hurt that you changed your expression so quickly," Suo teased, frowning, but Okami didn't fall for it.

She got up from her seat and bid Kotoha farewell. "Going so soon?" Suo said. But Okami didn't turn back and continued on.

This annoyed Sakura. "What the hell's her problem!" he protested, his voice rising in frustration. Kotoha cut him off with a gentle "Thanks for delivering the eggs."

"It's nothing. Anyway, have a good afternoon," she said, trying to sound nonchalant. Before Okami could even get out of the door, she felt a huge invisible pin strike her head and stumbled.

Her shoulders leaned against the doorframe, her hand instinctively going to the spot where she'd felt the pain. And all of a sudden, her body lost balance, tumbling away from the doorframe. Stumbling forward, bracing for impact, she closed her eyes, only to feel an arm catch her, getting a firm grip.

She tried to use her strength to look at the person who'd caught her. She saw bright blue eyes like the sky and white hair that looked like clouds.

Before she could say anything, her whole world went dark.

Umemiya didn't know what happened, but he was thankful he'd caught Okami before she fell face-first onto the ground. He then saw Sakura and Suo rush towards him, and Kotoha quickly slide out from behind the counter.

Okami was breathing heavily, and he tried to shift her into a more comfortable position. When his hands made contact with her skin, he felt the heat.

He quickly placed a hand on her forehead, and he knew she was running a fever. He sighed deeply, thinking she might have had a heart attack.

He then proceeded to carry her in a bridal position, bringing her inside the cafe. Kotoha cleared the way.

"Lay her in my bedroom," Kotoha instructed Umemiya. He gently placed her in the bed.

Hiragii followed Umemiya with a basin of fresh water. Kotoha gently patted Okami's face, her brow furrowed with worry. "She's burning up," she murmured, her voice filled with concern.

Hiragii, ever the practical one, quickly dipped a cloth in the basin of water and began to gently wipe Okami's forehead and neck.

"What happened?" Suo asked, his voice a low rumble. He'd been silent up until this point, his gaze fixed on Okami.

"I don't know," Sakura said, shaking his head. "She just collapsed."

Umemiya, still holding Okami's hand, felt a tremor run through her fingers. He looked at her face, his heart aching at her pale complexion. He'd never seen her this vulnerable before.

"She needs a doctor," Kotoha said, her voice firm. "We need to get her to the hospital."

"Or maybe we can call her guardian?"nerei suggested from the back.

Okami's PoV:

I stood in the corner, facing the wall, crying silently. Mom angrily asked, "Why did you punch your classmate?"

Her question hung in the air, unanswered. "Well, if you won't tell me, you might as well stand there," she sighed, leaving the room.

Hours passed, and I suddenly fell to the ground. Mom panicked, rushing to my side and carrying me in her arms. I had a fever, a slight one.

For a whole week, I was confined to bed, unable to attend kindergarten. Looking to my side, I saw Mom talking on the phone.

"It's my teacher," I thought to myself. It was my teacher who had told Mom about the punch.

Mom noticed I was half awake. "Is it the teacher?" I asked weakly. "No, darling, it's Daddy," she said, placing a hand on my forehead.

"He's coming home from work," she said gently, tucking my hair behind my ear.

Less than an hour later, we heard a boom from downstairs, followed by heavy footsteps on the stairs and the crash of a vase near the landing.

"My baby girl, I'm here! Daddy's here!" A man burst through the door. It was Dad, looking like a pitiful dog. I turned to Mom, who was silent. My blood ran cold when she revealed a calm, annoyed smile.

"Damn, Dad. It was good knowing you."
Sweat dropped from what is soon to happen.

It's been so long since i felt such warmth, ever since that accident, waking up from my dream, I felt the warmth leave me, my heart turning to stone again.

"Dad, I miss you."

Tears streamed down my empty face as I tried to wipe them away.

If only you were here, we would still be happy. I cried silently, covering my face with my arms.

As i finally emptied my tears out of my system, i was thirsty. Calming down i realized i was not in my room.

Then it hit me, I fainted before i could leave Pathos Cafe. And the last thing I saw where blue eyes. Just like my father.

Mustering my strength, I sat up and swung my legs out of bed. And used my remaining strength to push myself out of bed.

Although i have recovered, i am still weak to stand alone. But this time, it was different.

I guess i am already used to being alone. Making way to the door. I suddenly saw the doorknob twist and opened, i was greeted by a cat?? No, it was not a cat but Sakura who jumped when he saw me.

"What the hell don't stand near the door, what if i suddenly swung the door open and you you get hurt." He said his obvious flustering face displayed.

" Trust me, a door can't hurt me." I said blankly pulling the door open revealing nerei beside sakura and suo smiling beside nerei.

"Goodmorning okami." Suo said with a sweet smile his head tilting a bit. I scanned the three boys then my eyes shifted to nerei who was holding a poridge and iced tea.
