Okami POV:
My name is Hanaka Okami. In front of me, my Aunt Soshi is typing on her laptop, while her husband, Hatomi, is driving and listening to the radio.

If you're wondering where we are going, we are on our way to my mother's hometown, where she grew up and met my dad. It's also where my aunt and uncle currently live.

Leaning my head against the window, I admire the greenery of the landscape and how close the mountains are. "This is where my mom and dad met." I wonder

I can still remember yesterday's conversation with my mom. "Makochi is my hometown, near the province where I grew up. It's also where I met your father," she said.

"I know this is sudden, but would it be alright if you transferred to the province? I know it's a bit-" she started to say.

"Sure, it's fine," I responded quickly.

My mom's expression softened, and it hurt to see her look so sad.

"I wouldn't mind. It would be nice to see where you and dad grew up," I said, trying to change the atmosphere.

"I'm glad. Your aunt and uncle will be picking you tomorrow." My mom informed me excitedly.

"In the meantime, you will be staying with them," my mom continued.

She explained that the school was informed of my transfer. She also laughed, mentioning how the principal begged her not to transfer me since I am a valuable asset to the school.

However, for my sake, she insisted on transferring me to a private school near Makochi.

The principal then recommended transferring me to an affiliated school with the same standards as theirs and even offered a scholarship.

My mom was still hesitant since the purpose of my transfer was to give me space to cope with the trauma. Overhearing this, I convinced her that I wouldn't mind taking a train to school..

"Darling, are you sure about the school? It might be a bit of a hassle to keep riding the train," my aunt asked, trying to convince me.

"I wouldn't mind, Aunt Soshi. Plus, the train station is near the main street," I reassured her.

"Okay, but if you change your mind, I can place you in a school where your mom and I went," she offered. But replied to her with a hum.

It was silence once again lingered in the vehicle. But i dont mind quiet but i guess for my aunt and uncle it is a bit awkward. But something cross my mind.

"Aunt and Uncle," I asked without turning away from the window.

"Yes, ami?" my uncle responded.

"Which school did my father attend?" I asked.

There was a brief silence. I turned to see the hesitation on my aunt's face. My uncle chuckled. "Haha. Your father went to Furin High School," he answered.

"He was such a trouble maker in the past." He continued, but i didn't care.

Aunt hit uncle in the side with her elbow, then clearing her throat.

"Where is that?" I asked curiously.

"Not far from the main street. Why do you ask?"

I stared outside, pondering why I had asked such a question in the first place. "That's where I learned to be strong," my father had told me when I was ten.

My uncle and aunt patiently waited for my response.

"Just wondering," I smiled faintly. My aunt sighed in relief.

Maybe i can visit tomorrow. I mentally informed myself. I hope the school wont disappoint me. Hiding my smirk and eyes full of mysterious intent.

"We're finally here!" My uncle excitedly announce. Waking both me and my aunt from our nap. And it was already afternoon.

Watching my uncle went out of the car. I decided to as well. With the intention of helping my aunt out.

To my surprise i expected a small house with fewer rooms. But, i guess a big house would also be homie. It would not make me homesick.

Opening the the passenger seat i helped my aunt out of the car, with my right hand on the door and my left hand holding my aunts hand

Opening the the passenger seat i helped my aunt out of the car, with my right hand on the door and my left hand holding my aunts hand.

"Oh my? Such a gentlewoman." My aunt blushed.

"If you were a boy you would be very popular among women." My aunt giggled.

"Thank you aunt for the compliment." I smiled.

My aunt thought for a moment. Before she clicked. "Why dont you roam around the main street, after unpacking? It helps you familiarize the area." My aunt excitedly offered me.

"That would be a great idea she might as well meet our friends in the main street." My uncle agreed as well.

Of course i sighed in defeat. "Sure thing." I smiled weakly.

Helping my uncle with my luggage. I decided to just carry my duffle bag and suitcase while my uncle insisted to bring my boxes instead. To which i jut agree.

When i first heard about them was when mom is talking on the phone, after that i asked my father who it was and my father happily explained.

And the first time i saw them was when i was hospitalized, and during those times i was cold to them. Yet, they still come to understand me.

They supported me and mom throughout the healing process. But just like mom they did not know my secret.

"This is where you will stay." My aunt happily open the room.

The room if you describe it is not so different from mine.

"Story behind this room."uncle started.

"Well, your aunt prepared this while your mom was pregnant, saying that if ever you get to visit us, you have place to stay."

I was silent but wanted to say something. Somehow uncles words hit me hard.

Leaving home was already hard, but i did not faze. But, the fact that my aunt hopefully prepared all this is really nice.

"Thank you aunt." I entered the room placing my suitcase beside my bed and duffle bag on the table.

"Ok kiddo! I shall put all your boxes here and just call if you need any help." My uncle enthusiasticly close the door.
