"What a punk"

I mumble as I glance up at the night sky, its dark clouds casting a heavy shadow over almost everything. My bag filled with textbooks and assignments I already regret bringing home hangs off my right shoulder, tugging slightly. One hand digs into my pocket, searching around for that keychain- one I picked up from the weird stranger a while back, even though I have no real reason to keep.

In my other hand, my phone lights up with a glow '2 messages from the class group chat' '5 messages from Mom' I swipe through the notifications, tapping on my mom's messages to reassure her I'm almost home. I pull the keychain from my pocket, letting its cold metal rest in my palm for a moment. As I pass a trashcan, I flick my wrist sending it flying in with a small clang. I walk to the front door and step inside before locking the door.

"Mom, I'm home."

Silence

I sigh as I make my way upstairs, I think she must have gone out for groceries or something routine like that. Once I'm in my room, I lock the door and drop my bag onto the desk, though I don't plan on touching any of the assignments inside, they can wait. I casually toss the bag as it lands near the wall, out of sight and mind.

My gaze falls to the drawer. I open it carefully. But I set it aside. Instead, I pull out a plain notebook, flipping to the random page.

"Sighs.. Let's get this over with" I huff, picking up a pen and pressing it against the notebook, my thoughts sinking into strategy.

"Naomi mentioned her team suspects Kira might be a student, basing it on the time patterns of the victims' deaths" I jot down. She isn't wrong, but I can't afford to alter my schedule just yet. If I suddenly change my timing, it'll only raise their suspicions and I dont want that "Patience is key" I remind myself.

Then, the real obstacle or simply those who are closing in on me, interfering with my plans to create a new world. Naomi's full name is already in my mind. But I won't kill her yet, for now, she remains off the list.

That guy who followed me, theres no way it was just a 'coincidence' That little chat of his too it had a purpose. But he made it clear we will be seeing each other again, didn't he? So I suppose theres no rush. I'll probably learn his name soon enough without even trying. Nothing to worry about.

Leaning back in my chair, I glance at the calendar on the desk, looking at the dates. Tomorrow is Thursday.

"Hm.." I mutter under my breath, going over everything once more. Sticking to the original plan, for now.

Dazai lets out an exaggerated groan, face buried in his arms as Kunikida looms over him, vibrating with frustration "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN YOU BANDAGE WALKING CORPSE!!?" Kunikida's voice sending a few papers fluttering off his desk.

Dazai raises his head just enough to give Kunikida a lazy amused smile "Ah, Kunikida kun! could you keep it down? My delicate constitution can't handle this much excitement so early in the day!~" He flops back onto the desk dramatically.

Atsushi and Tanizaki exchange a look, both equally bewildered. Atsushi scratches his head looking genuinely confused "U-Uh.. if you don't mind me asking where did you go last night, Dazai san?" He is curious, especially since Dazai disappeared right after Kunikida's mention of someone named Y/N.
