Harvey: The dog. He's acting very strangely. At first Emily and I, we both didn't notice. He was all good sitting quietly on the porch. We gave him biscuits and a bowl of milk, but he didn't eat it. We thought maybe his stomach was full. But after a few moments–
*A female voice comes from inside Dominic's room.
'Who's there?'
Dominic: Oh Ruby, it's Harvey.
Ruby: Now? Is everything good?
Dominic: Ya honey, not a problem. You can close the door and go to sleep.
Ruby: Um, alright.
*Dominic peeks into his room to check as Ruby closes the door.
Dominic: Ya Harvey, continue. Don't be afraid, I'm here with you.
*Harvey takes a deep breath.
Harvey: After a few moments Emily called me. She was in the kitchen at that time. When I entered, she said that there was something unusual. She's not feeling good and...that something was wrong around us. I couldn't understand her at that moment. But then, I don't know why, she went out of the kitchen and headed towards the porch. But as I followed her I saw that she stood firm just outside the kitchen.
*Perspiring and panicking, Harvey pauses here. Dominic holds Harvey's hand to calm him.
Dominic: Harvey, don't be afraid. I'm right here with you.
*Harvey wipes his sweat off his forehead.
Harvey: I saw that Emily stood still and her eyes were on the dog. He was then standing just outside our kitchen, maybe three arms away from us. He looked at us standing still just as he was there on the porch. I thought he wanted to play with us so I headed towards him but as soon as I stepped forward, Emily stopped me and said, 'Look at his eyes'. I immediately turned towards him and understood what Emily was saying.
Dominic: ...what?
Harvey: His eyes were sparkling blood red. No pupil, nothing. After I glanced, a sudden chill went down my whole body. I called him twice and called him in a very nice way. He stood there silently, watching us as if he was keeping an eye on us. We too stood there without any movement, and in our mind we were numb. After a while, I held Emily's hand and slowly backed off, keeping an eye on him. I whispered to Emily and told her to stay inside the bedroom and lock it up from inside and not to come out till I bring help. After Emily locked herself up in the bedroom, I slowly went near the back door and ran out.
Dominic: And the dog?
Harvey: He was standing there frozenly in the same place watching me. All this time he didn't move at all. Not even by an inch. See, you are a vet. Please tell me if he has any disease or any infection going on, I've told you about the red eyes.
Dominic: Uh...
*Meanwhile, Ruby calls for Dominic from the room.
Dominic: Ya honey, just a minute. Yeah Harvey you say.
Harvey: Emily thinks he's possessed. I know that can't be true but what I fear is if he has any disease within him, he might attack or worse, bite us and infect us too.
*Dominic thinks intensively.
*Ruby again calls Dominic.
Ruby: Dominic...
Dominic: Honey, just one more minute.
*Dominic turns towards Harvey.
Dominic: Well, I don't remember about any such disease but maybe it's something different. Okay, do you remember from which pet store did you buy him, because they might–
Harvey: Pet store?
Dominic: Yeah the pet store from where–
Harvey: Dominic, we have never bought any dog from any pet store...
*Dominic is stupefied.
Harvey: We have never visited any pet store, ever. That dog just randomly showed up today on our porch. And we know that he ain't any neighbor's pet.
Dominic: But then...
*Dominic couldn't understand what was going on.
