Merry Christmas

Dominic: Okay, do you remember which breed it was?

Harvey: I don't know much about dog species, but that one was tall and wasn't furry at all. I've never seen anything like this before.

Dominic: Okay and, the color?

Harvey: Dark. Fully dark.

Dominic: Well it seems that–

*Harvey's phone rings. It's Emily. Harvey picks up the call.

Harvey: Ya Emily, what happened?

Emily: I peeped out of my room and saw nobody. I opened the door and stepped out but there was no one there. I think the dog has gone.

Harvey: Really?

Dominic: What happened, Harvey?

*Harvey puts aside the phone without hanging up the call.

Harvey: Emily is saying that the dog has gone. There is no one there now.

Dominic: Okay but tell her not to leave the house until we reach your home.

*Harvey tells everything to Emily.

Harvey: Don't go outside, and don't worry about me, I'm all fine. Go back into the room and lock yourself from inside until I return.

*Heavy quietness filled up the atmosphere as soon as Emily hung up the call. After a few moments like this, finally, Dominic broke the silence.

Dominic: Harvey, I am unable to recall anything at the moment but–

*Ruby enters the room where Dominic and Harvey are sitting.

Ruby: Dominic, can you check the window in our room?

Dominic: Ruby I told you I'll be coming in a minute, now you go and have some rest.

Ruby: No no, I think there is–

Dominic: Ruby, it's very cold outside. Don't waste your sleep, you are tired, honey. You've been working all day.

*Ruby seemed frustrated.

Ruby: Dominic please check the window in our room. I think a dog is peeping through it constantly. It looks very freaky.

Both Harvey and Dominic: What?

Ruby: Yeah, and maybe I didn't notice clearly but I think its eyes are reddish...

*A complete silence prevailed amongst them as the wind of tension blew throughout the atmosphere. Harvey stood still and frozen, looking at Ruby, whilst Dominic was confused about all of this.
