Dominic: Okay guys, no need to worry. I'll see this.
*Saying this, Dominic proceeded towards Ruby's bedroom. Ruby went with him. Harvey didn't want to go as he was having a sense of trepidation that something weird was happening. But he also feared leaving Dominic and Ruby alone there, so he followed them into the room and stood behind Ruby.
*As Dominic and Ruby entered the room, Dominic went near the window and looked closely.
Dominic: Where exactly did you see it?
*Ruby pointed at the middle, right outside the window.
Ruby: There, it was right there just now!
Dominic: But there's nothing, Ruby. Are you sure you saw a dog?
Ruby: Yes absolutely, I saw the dog right there. I know it.
Dominic: Hmm...maybe it ran off somewhere else. Don't worry, everything's fine. We'll go and check the outside now. You close the door and go to sleep. Don't come out now, it's getting colder.
*Ruby looked upon Dominic with a confused feeling. Harvey was scared and couldn't understand what was happening.
Ruby: Uh, okay. But you guys don't remain outside for a long time.
Dominic: Of course!
*Dominic moved towards the desk inside the room, pulled out the drawer, and picked up some pills.
Dominic: Here, take it, honey. Your sleeping pills, you have been stressed the whole day. Have one and calmly go to sleep.
Ruby: Thanks, honey. Goodnight.
Dominic: Goodnight. Love you.
*Ruby smiled. Dominic stepped out and stood there staring at the room as Ruby closed the door from inside. As the sound of locking the door was heard, a heavy silence settled in the room as Dominic slowly shifted his gaze towards Harvey. His countenance, initially downturned, gradually lifted to meet Harvey's eyes. Harvey noticed that there was a change in Dominic's attitude. It seemed on his face that something was heavily concerning him. Harvey observed that there was a feeble yet radiant glimmer in Dominic's eyes, for some reason.
Harvey: Uh, I think we should check outside and see if the dog is still out there.
*Saying this Harvey went near the door to open it.
Harvey: Maybe we should also see if the windows are locked just in case the–
*Harvey's heart stopped for a while as he opened the door and looked outside. The dog was sitting right in front of the door, staring at Harvey with his red eyes; there was no movement or growling. Harvey's heart pounded in his chest, and an icy shiver ran down his spine. The air grew heavy with tension, and his every heartbeat echoed the palpable fear that enveloped the room. Time seemed to freeze, and Harvey, paralyzed by fear, stood rooted to the spot for a moment. His wide eyes locked in a horrified gaze at the beast's presence before him. Overwhelmed by fear, Harvey couldn't contain the panic that surged within him. In a hasty retreat, he stumbled backward and ran behind the table.
