"Mamma, where is Irshad? I've been searching for him for so long. He is nowhere to be seen! Have you seen him?" Questioned Sara as she was searching for him throughout the house.

"Nah, he didn't tell me where he had gone. Try calling him." Said Farhana as she was chopping on the vegetables.

"I tried calling him, but his phone was switched off. I want him to take me to the shop. I have a project to submit and I need a folder."

"Go with your Abbu, he is in his room,"

It was almost seven and Irshad still didn't return home. Farhana became a Lil conscious about her son now that Sara had mentioned about him. She took out her phone to dial his number. It was just like how Sara had mentioned earlier. His phone was turned off.

After a while, Irshad came home looking very tired and he also had blood stains on his white t-shirt. Farhana was scared as to what had happened to him. She rushed back to her son and asked him what had happened.

"I saw a young drunk man lying on the pathway unconscious. There were two kids who were crying beside him. I went to them and asked them why they were crying. They told me that their mum had passed away, so the man consumed alcohol by abandoning their children."

"What happened then?"

"I asked them, were they lived. They told me that they lived near the masjid. So I went and dropped them in their home."

"What about the blood stains on your shirt then?"

"It was the child, she hurt her knee. So I bandaged it for her and sent her home."

"Poor children ! This is what happens. The man thinks that he can forget about his wife by consuming Alcohol but he forgets that he has a family to take care of. May Allah guide him to the straight path!"

Realisation struck hard for Irshad, this morning Irshad was thinking about distracting himself by listening to music and then it led him to think about smoking. Had he smoked, then even his family would worry about him. Moreover, he was determined now to not do anything of that sort. He quickly went back to his room to clean himself as it was time for Isha salah.

Inaya woke up abruptly when she heard someone knocking on to her room violently. Knocking was an understatement it looked like someone had banged the door. She could even interpret who it would be. She got up to open the door.

"Get up Inaya!? How can you sleep for so long? And why is the light on in broad daylight?"

"I am afraid of darkness, that's why I sleep with the lights on dhadhi,"

"Astagfirullah! You're wasting the power Inaya. Who is scared of these things. You shouldn't be wasting the electricity like this and look at the time. It's already seven. You have to make breakfast since your mum is sick. Come on go get ready."

"I will come out in ten minutes dhadhi,"

Inaya was so tired and she didn't sleep last night. She had nightmares and was feeling a bit feverish. She struggled to sleep the whole night and only slept after praying her Tahajjud. Now she had to cook breakfast. She hurried to the washroom to freshen herself up and go downstairs.

"Ummu, what would you like to eat? Shall I make bread toast and scrambled eggs-

"What sort of breakfast is that? Now I realise why your mum fainted and fell. You people eat this as food?"
