Third Person POV
"Woah! Taehyung, huh?!" Taehyung chuckles as he takes a few steps towards Jeongguk, stops again when the latter turns around, no hint of amusement on his face or in his eyes.
"Yes, Taehyung. Now answer the question. When were you going to tell me she came to your shop?" Jeongguk's demeanor makes Taehyung take a step back because he said his name again.
"Or were you going to tell me at all?" Jeongguk raises his eyebrow, arms folded on his chest as he rests his body against the shelf.
Taehyung didn't even remember the interaction with her because of how stupid it was and he doesn't even remember mentioning it to anyone. It was so pointless that he didn't think it was important.
"She never learns to mind her own business huh." Taehyung scoffs.
"It wasn't even her." Jeongguk says and Taehyung frowns but then it clicks, of course.
The gossip queen couldn't keep it to himself as usual. Yoongi is going to have an earful from him, he'll make sure of it.
"I may have mentioned it to Yoongi hyung in a fleeting moment or something." It's not even a lie because they didn't discuss it at all, just a mention of it in heat of moment when Taehyung was talking about this and that.
"He gets to know and not me?" Jeongguk asks.
"It's---It's not like that. I just didn't think it was---" Taehyung gulps, doesn't even know why he's nervous when he's being honest. "Important."
"Oh?" Jeongguk chuckles but it sounds completely bitter. "It wasn't important huh?"
Well, looks like honesty doesn't dawn upon everyone the same way.
"Whatever she said was so pointless and stupid. She was just trying to make me feel insecure, koo." Taehyung says.
"I don't care what she said. I know it was some shit anyway but that's not what I asked, is it?" Jeongguk doesn't budge and Taehyung doesn't think he has any other way to explain it.
He doesn't want it to turn into an argument at all. Not over that girl atleast.
"That's exactly why I didn't because I didn't even remember it in the morning. It didn't matter and that's it." Taehyung says, looking away from Jeongguk, biting his tongue because that's not how it was supposed to sound.
"Tell me you're joking right now." Jeongguk utters and Taehyung shakes his head.
"She isn't some other customer you deal with, Tae! You know how she is and you didn't bother telling me you had a whole conversation with her. Whatever she fucking said, was I not supposed to know too?" Jeongguk walks a few steps forward but there's still space between them.
Taehyung hates it.
"I didn't want to tell you because it doesn't matter---"
"Stop repeating the same thing, please!" Jeongguk exclaims. "All I want to know---"
"You asked why I didn't tell you and I told you because it wasn't important! What more do you want?!" Surprise flashes in Jeongguk's eyes for a moment at Taehyung's words.
"Why wasn't it important to me? Why would hiding something like that won't be important to me, Taehyung?" Jeongguk asks.
"Stop calling me that!" Taehyung groans.
"Oh, this is what you're worried about?" Jeongguk scoffs in disbelief.
"I didn't tell you because you'd want to know what she said and I didn't want to tell you! Her words were brutal even if they were all a lie!" Taehyung runs a hand in his hair as he takes a deep breath.
