trigger warning: blood and violence and an extremely, poorly written action scene :')Third Person POV
The way Taehyung ducked under the counter even with the slight sound of the door bell jingling is quite comical if he says so. Had it been a sitcom, you would hear that tacky laughter that is played even for the smallest of things.
He feels like he's becoming a joke to himself after talking to Yoongi two nights prior and successfully yet horribly running away and ignoring Jeongguk when he came to his shop the next morning and Taehyung ran for the stairs, fell right at the last one and was almost about to plant his face on the door of his room.
But successful anyways.
Now, he's hiding under the counter and he really hopes neither Yeonjun nor Soobin would pass by for the cold storage because those idiots have no idea how to read the room and they'd simply ask him why he's hiding right in front of Jeongguk.
Taehyung really should've interviewed them and not just relied on their cuteness.
"He's not here, hyung." He hears Jeongguk say and he hears Yoongi's footsteps nearing to his counter too.
"Huh? He was right here." Yoongi sounds like he's frowning in utter confusion and who wouldn't because Taehyung really just talked to him from here not a minute prior.
"That's strange. Maybe he went to his room." Yoongi says and Taehyung really, really hopes none of them would dare go upstairs and check.
"Oh, I see." Jeongguk sounds...dejected? Taehyung doesn't let himself read much into that as Yoongi would give him tulips anyways.
"I have to wait on the Dahlias for some other time then." Jeongguk sighs and Taehyung gulps, he knows Jeongguk wants a new flower at his apartment and he can't only because Taehyung is being...well he's being cautious.
What happened at Yoongi's place was extremely dangerous and he needs to be extremely cautious. He has to keep his heart safe from now on.
Not to mention, Taehyung has been locking his shop half an hour earlier, way before the time he knows Jeongguk usually comes to his shop and went right to his room, hid under the blanket as if Jeongguk would yank it off him and expose him.
"I'll give you tulips, come." Yoongi says and Taehyung hears the footsteps sounding away. When he hears the door open and close, he lets out a breath and peeks from the counter, sees no one around and then begins working on his bouquet as if nothing happened.
"That was truly pathetic, by the way." Yeonjun mumbles as he walks past him, new flowers in his hand and it means he did go to the cold storage.
He really didn't have to interview them at all, they do know how to read the room. It's just him who's an idiot. Taehyung groans to himself as he finishes his order.
It repeats the next day.
Though, this time he was a bit into his work that he didn't heat the door open and when he heard the footsteps right at the curve of the self that leads to his counter, he ducks, falls right on his knees.
