"Kunj, ruk na tu…" Abhi started, desperation lacing his voice, but Kunj wasn’t going to let him get a word in.
"I said get up!" Kunj’s grip tightened around Abhi, forcing him to his feet. Before anyone could intervene, Kunj swiftly took Akshara's hand, his eyes locked onto theirs. Without a word, he led them to his room, the tension visible.
The door closed behind them, and Kunj locked it, ensuring their privacy.
"What is this, Kunj?" Abhi demanded, confusion and frustration evident in his tone as Kunj shut the door behind them.
Kunj leaned against the wall, arms crossed. The atmosphere was thick with tension as he faced Abhi. There were no pleasantries, no small talk; the moment demanded honesty.
"Tu toh sirf dost manta tha na Akshu ko, toh ab kya ho gaya? Ab kyun rok raha hai uski sagai hone se?" Kunj's voice was sharp, challenging.
Abhi’s expression softened, a flicker of vulnerability crossing his features. "Esa nahi hai, Kunj. I love her. I was an idiot to think I could live without her. I can’t." His words flowed with a strange mix of desperation and clarity, as if he had just stepped out of a fog and into the light.
Kunj raised an eyebrow, his skepticism unyielding. "But tu toh kehe raha tha she deserves better, fir?"
"True," Abhi replied, his voice firming. “She does deserve better, and I’ll be that better version of myself."
Kunj couldn’t help but admire Abhi's resolve, even while doubt nagged at him. "Aur tu toh uspe apni responsibilities ka burden nahi dalna chahta tha, uski acchai ka fayda nahi uthana chahta tha na?"
Abhi paused, his gaze steady now, as if he was wrestling inner demons. " I’ve realized Kunj, that a relationship is all about sharing everything, embracing everything about each other responsibilities too." With this, the weight of what he felt began to emanate from him, revealing a depth that was previously hidden.
