Abhi stood by the window, his gaze fixed on the distant horizon, lost in a swirl of conflicted thoughts. His mind was a battlefield of unspoken emotions, a turmoil he desperately tried to keep hidden behind a facade of calmness.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Akshu stepped in, her usually bright eyes clouded with a mixture of hurt and confusion. "ese bhai pe chilakar, Kya sabit karna chahte ho tum Abhi?" she asked, her voice laced with pain. The gentle melody that usually characterized her tone was replaced with a raw, wounded vulnerability.
Abhi remained by the window, his voice flat and emotionless. "Main kuch sabit nahi karna chahta hu," he replied"aur rahi baat Kunj ki toh main janta hu usse bura nahi laga hoga. He understands me."
Akshu's heart clenched with each of his detached words. "Baat chilane ki nahi hai," she countered, stepping closer, her tone softening slightly.
"Baat humare bare mein baat hone pe, tumhare wese react karne ki hai. "When people talk about us, I notice your reaction. For the past week, I've seen you trying to avoid me, and whenever someone mentions us together, you snap, reacting as if it hurts to hear my name linked with yours. What's wrong? Have I done something wrong? Are you upset with me about something?" She reached out and gently took his hand, a silent plea for understanding etched on her face.
Abhi, however, seemed distant, unmoved by her touch. He swiftly removed her hand, unable to meet her gaze,a cold barrier erected between them. "Esa kuch nahi hai," he said, his voice still devoid of warmth. " I'm not avoiding you, aur na hi main tumse naraz hu. I'm just busy, aur rahi baat humara topic nikalne par cheedne ki toh log galat baat karenge toh gussa toh aayegaa na? We are just friends aur…' he cut off by akshu.
