Theo's POV
Keep running, keep running, keep running, keep running. The voice in my head kept pounded at me. If I stopped, they'd catch up to me, and if they did, I'd be killed by a hidden blade. The biggest, most dishonourable death for an assassin.
I had one of the biggest fights ever earlier. Twenty five men all against me, so I was currently covered in cuts, bruises and my left eye was swollen up almost entirely. I had also been stabbed in the arm, and was losing a lot of blood from it, and I had been hit very hard across the head. I was loosing consciousness at an increasing rate.
I got to the edge of the beach, and saw a figure sat by a seafront, hood up, but you could see the long brown hair whipping around their head. I started walking on the beach, but my body was giving up on me. I was slowly passing out. I limped over, closer and closer, everywhere throbbing in pain. My mind was shutting down, my vision blacking out, my legs wobbling. When I knew I couldn't go any longer, I gathered all my remaining energy and at the top of my voice yelled "JAMIE!", before my legs buckled underneath me, my vision disappeared, my mind blanked, and I passed out.
Jamie's POV
I turned around quickly, and saw a body lying on the floor. I thought back to when I dumped the bodies in the water. I killed five Templar's, and had thrown all five bodies in the water. I looked carefully at the body shape, and the hair. Theo! I stood up and started running towards in seconds, so fast that my hood flew off and the blood on my hidden blade flew off and splattered all over my face.
I dived to the floor next to Theo. He was covered in blueish, brown and purple bruises, surrounded by deep cuts, his face had been battered so much his eye had swollen up and he probably couldn't see out of it, and his left arm was a horrible mess. Bloody, oozing, and a massive hole in it. I quickly ripped off and arm of my hood and tied it around his arm to pressure the wound and stop the bleeding, and sure enough, the bleeding slowed down, and I took a deep breath.
I took off the rest of the hood, and placed it under Theo's head, but not before ripping the other sleeve off, dipping it into the sea water, and cleaning the cuts and swollen eye, while clenching my fist, knowing it would be painful for him.
I sat next to him and watched him. He looked so peaceful in his sleep that I didn't dare wake him. He'd been fighting for several hours non-stop just to get to me, so it was the least I could for him.
Two hours had passed, and Theo still hadn't woken up. I knew it would be a matter of minutes before there would be more Templar's on patrol, and no matter of Theo was awake or asleep, we would be killed in seconds.I shook his shoulder, and shouting into his ear. "Theo! Theo wake up! We need to go! Now Theo! Wake up!". I kept shouting and shaking him. Eventually, I heard a murmur coming from Theo, and then he moved his fingers. "J-Jamie? Is th-that you?" He rasped out. "Yes Theo, its me, its Jamie" I searched the nearby area for Templar guards. "Listen Theo, we need to go. Templars are coming, and they'll kill you and me because we are assassins. We need to go" I told him, and without warning, put his arm around my shoulders and stood him up. I then started walking us in the direction we had to go in, me partially pulling Theo's feet across the sand.
We had no choice but to walk along like this for another four miles. Of course, Theo has woken up more, but he couldn't walk properly, and relied on my help. We had finally reached a place we could stop, and I helped Theo sit on the ground. "How are you doing now?" I sat next to him. "Better than before, Jamie. Thank you". Suddenly there was a beeping noise coming from Theo's pocket. He picks out a phone and answers it.
Five minutes later, he puts down the phone. Well, "put" is a gentle word. He threw it, as far as he could into the water, and it spaelwd with electricity, before sinking into the sea. "What is it Theo?" I asked, genuinely concerned. He sheds a tear. "Jess" He answers. The last time I saw Jess, she was holding me in a arm lock, on the way to my sentencing, so I wasn't too keen on her.
"What about Jess?" I asked him. His voice was very quiet. "She's abandoning me. All these years I thought she'd help me, no matter how dangerous the situation. SHE PROMISED ME! BUT SHE LIED!" He roars out. And then he said something I didn't expect. "I loved her. And she loved me. How could she do this?!" Theo is clearly fruatatrated, so I give him a hug, which I rarely do. "It sounds like you guys went through a lot together" I mumbled into the hug. "Yes. We did. Mission Dark Shadow" The name burnt into me. That's what I got called during my torture hallucination! "What's Mission Dark Shadow?" I stuttered into Theo. He took a deep breath. "Mission Dark Shadow ...is you"
(A.N. Suspense! Drama! So, Theo made it to Jamie, and now they're looking into their pasts together. Seems fun, but dark)
