"Don't you think we're a little too old for house parties now?"
"Come on, you can't be a little too old for anything now," Minji replied. They walked a few more steps from Minji's Range Rover until the owner thought up of several things one couldn't do anymore when they get senior citizen old—sex was probably one of them. "Actually. Yeah, you can."
Hanni raised a brow at her to prove her point.
"But his new home is a villa!" Minji exclaimed. "Do you remember some of the pics I showed you? He has a freakin' nice pool!"
"Is that why you asked me to bring my bikini?"
"Well, yeah. Wouldn't hurt to take a dip, would it?" Minji grinned at her and nudged her arm.
Hanni rolled her eyes. Minji would do just about anything to get her near naked if she could, even it meant not having sex with her.
With linked arms, they continued forth onto the newly built sidewalk, leisurely strolling along the beautiful homes on their right side. Sunghoon's villa was just a bit further down the road and he had graciously invited them among others for a little housewarming party.
But having known Sunghoon since their high school days, they both knew it wasn't just any other housewarming party.
A red-faced Sunghoon brightly grinned at the two. Minji and Hanni could barely hear the words coming out from his mouth with the loud bass thumping in the background, but they probably figured it was something along the lines of, "Heeeeeyyy! You two made it!"
With the neck of a beer bottle snug in between two fingers, Sunghoon moved forth to crush the two in an embrace. Minji didn't know why she was a bit flustered in the presence of a drunken Sunghoon like she wasn't used to the sight of it, but she thought she would have been by now considering the countless parties he had thrown with his parents out of town. And it was almost every weekend during senior year of high school.
"Come on, come on," he shouted into their faces. "I'm way too shitfaced to give y'all a tour, but make yourselves at home, yeah? Y'all know where to get the alch when ya need it."
Sunghoon coaxed them further inside his beautiful home before leaving the door ajar for the other guests he invited. And there he went, hollering off to his other buddies to play another round of rage cage.
"Do you remember a time where he didn't have a trace of alcohol in his body?" Hanni whispered into Minji's ear.
Minji laughed. "To be honest, I'm just surprised he didn't die from alcohol poisoning yet."
"I mean, he did get his stomach pumped a few times, but damn he's still up and thriving."
Minji shrugged her shoulders. "Whatever gets him goin', I guess. If he survived his binge drinking throughout college, he's definitely going to be fine."
When the two finally decided to pay some attention to the interior of Sunghoon's villa, they realized that this definitely was not a little housewarming party. Heck, this was almost a damn club! People they recognized from high school and college and strangers were covering almost every floor of the villa (which made it hard to admire the home), cuddling on the pristine leather couch, lounging around the kitchen island, and sitting on the marbled staircase. Just a bit further ahead behind the spotless patio door was the crystal blue pool that Minji was in awe of in pictures. There were a few people already inside, taking advantage of the somewhat warm night to cool themselves up—they were probably very warm from drinking all night long as well.
"Are the others here yet?" Minji peered down at Hanni who was scrolling through their group chat on Messenger.
Danielle messaged a minute ago that she just picked up Haerin from Hyein's house and they were on their way. That meant they were going to take another thirty minutes to get here, and that also meant that was thirty minutes enough time to get intoxicated.
