"What time is our flight?" I asked as I shimmied into a pair of grey skinny jeans.

Paxton had a smirk on his lips as he watched me. I realized I was in a bra and bouncing up and down to get these jeans on.

"Back off, perv." I said, wagging a finger in his direction once I finally had buttoned my jeans.

"You weren't calling me a perv last night." He grumbled, grabbing his black sweater and pulling it on over his head.

"Yeah well last night you were useful." I shrugged.

"You're cruel." He said, pointing a finger at me.

I grinned as I pulled on my shirt, happy that we were back to the way we were. It was almost like when we were just friends, that simplicity we always had. Of course our relationship was good but almost right after we decided to make this a thing, Aaron came into the picture and lifted Pax and Flynn's world from beneath them. He's been dealing with a lot of shit and hasn't been the same ever since.

Yeah we were dating, but he was still one of my best friends. I missed him.

He finished tying his boots before looking up and locking his eyes on mine. "What?"

I smiled and shook my head. "Nothing, I'm just glad you're happy. You are happy right?" I asked, fixing my top.

"Come here." He said, holding his hand out.

I walked towards him and let him pull me into his lap. He cupped my cheek and placed a kiss on my lips, gently tugging my bottom lip between his teeth.

"You make me very happy."

I smiled and rested my forehead against his. "Good."

"Now come on, put your shoes on. We gotta go."

I let out a sigh. "Why are we meeting them for breakfast?" I whined. "It's still kinda early." I said as I slipped on my brown leather riding boots.

"Because Nancy insisted on taking the morning off to have at least one meal with us. I may not want to associate with her but Aaron begged us. I can't say no, he's my brother.

Ah, and there it is. That sinking feeling in my gut constantly reminding me of the shitty thing I was doing.

"Right, we should get going then." I said as I slipped on my leather jacket.

"You okay?" He asked, grabbing his wallet and room key, stuffing it into his butt pocket.

I turned around looking for the grey beanie I knew I brought since it was extra cold out. I held it up triumphantly when I finally pulled it out of my suitcase. I placed it on my head and turned around, content.

"I'm fine, let's go."

"Chelsea-"

"We're gonna be late. Let's go!" I said, grabbing my bag and avoiding the heart-to-hearts he's known for.

"So you're playing baseball at BU next year?" Nancy asked Flynn. "That's really impressive. That's a division one school."

Flynn nodded, smiling softly at her as he took a sip of the cappuccino she made for all of us. "Yes ma'am. I'm excited."

"I would imagine. You said you were a pitcher?" Pete asked from the kitchen island.

Flynn nodded, not sure how to embrace being the center of attention.

I smirked as I sipped my own coffee next to Paxton from the table. "You'd think he'd handle all these questions better since he's going to be interviewed more often now." Paxton mumbled.
