Third Person P.O.V

The Inevitable sails at a calm pace towards Three Bridges, the sunlight above casting down onto the gentle waves of the ocean. The crew work with content smiles on their faces as they prepare to dock, eager to see the familiar faces of their loved ones.

(Y/N) excitedly speaks to Jacob with a proud smile for her friend, Jacob leaning his forearms on the railing in front of him and looking down at her with a soft, bashful smile at her praises. Sarah glances over, humming with a fond eye roll as she chuckles and shakes her head.

As (Y/N) looks away from Jacob to the Three Bridges entrance, Sarah subtly elbows Jacob, nodding towards (Y/N) with a smirk as her brows wag up and down once. Jacob huffs with a head shake, an amused smile on his face.

The gears above creek softly as the net meant to keep the sea beasts out lowers for the ship, the ship sailing into the harbor of Three Bridges.

...

The bells ring out to signal the return of the hunter ship, gaining the attention of folks around the town.

"It's the Inevitable!" a little boy exclaims eagerly, rushing to the window as the other children clamor to join him. "The Inevitable is back! Look!"

Throwing the windows open, he points to the ship, the children chattering excitedly in awe.

"Bet she's got a belly full of bones!"

...

"The Inevitable!" a man calls to the others as they begin to crowd around the docks, gaining the attention of other people around.

...

Seagulls above the ship's sails chirp softly as they circle around, a crew member grunting as she tosses the roping down to a man on the docks. He catches it, looping the noose around the dock to secure the Inevitable.

...

Maisie pushes through the crowd with ease, her small frame allowing her to squeeze past the people crowding around to greet the Inevitable's crew. Shouts filled her ears as she climbs onto a crate, standing on her tippy-toes to see.

"It's good to be home at last!" Sarah's voice easily silences the crowd, Maisie watching her with awe as she gasps. "But it will be a short stay, I'm afraid. Captain Crow will visit the King and Queen at first light, and when the ship is ready, we'll be off to kill a monster!"

Maisie's face hardens with determination as she hops off the crate, disappearing into the crowd. The crowd roars with cheers at Sarah's words, Sarah smiling confidently as she looks around.

"We're going after the Red Bluster!" Byron adds in as he holds onto a rope beside Sarah, leaning forward with a dramatic wave.

...

Maisie weaves through people as she approaches the ship, Byron continuing.

"So, if this be our last visit to Three Bridges, I expect some right, proper debauchery!"

She nears the front of the crowd, pausing to watch as Sarah starts walking down the ramp leading from the ship down to the dock.

"Go on, then. Make way for the hunters," Sarah calmly speaks with a small chuckle lacing her words, the crowd parting for her instantly.

Maisie steps forward to approach, gasping with a soft yelp as the crowd begins to push her back further from the hunters. She ducks her head back and forth, trying to watch the hunters as they descend the Inevitable.

"Here we go, mates!"

Her eyes light up when she sees some crew members carrying down the brickleback's horn, the crew smiling and waving to the crowd.
