Opposites Attract

Paul’s POV

The wind blowing thru my fur feels beyond explanation. The sun shines down and I find myself sniffing at the smell of salt water. Having a private beach behind my pack’s house is pretty nice.

You never have to worry about being caught in wolf form or anything. Nobody is allowed on our land except for the people in our house.

Being a werewolf is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. My grandfather was alpha when he was still around and when I was born, it was passed down to me.

Having the ability to change from wolf to human is amazing. I always feel like Jacob from Twilight. My body is always hot and I get angry easily.

………………………

As I stroll down the beach slowly, I stop for a drink of water. Leaning down, I let my tongue lap up water and then something catches my attention. I look down the beach a ways and I see a person. A creature of some sort.

Getting back on all fours, I run over to the thing and quickly change to human form. I throw on my cut off sweats and lean down toward the creature. It’s a mermaid.

It’s scales are the color of blue and green mixed and her skin is all shiny. I get as close as I can and I see that she has been hurt. Blood slowly trails down her tail and touches the sand.

In her side I see a piece of orange coral. I scoop her body up into my arms and as her bottom half leaves the water, legs grow in place of the tail. I gasp at the sight of her beauty.

Her hair is pitch black and long, long enough to cover her breasts and her body is curvy and perfect. She is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.

Cradling her to my chest, I run up and into the house as fast as I can. Her eyes are closed and her breathing is incredibly slow. The cut is really messing with her body.

I set her down on my bed and then dash down the hall and into the bathroom. I grab the medical kit and run back to my room. Leaning down next to her, I slowly grab the coral and pull it out of her now blood covered leg. I can hear her hiss a little and I look up in surprise. Her eyes are now open and they are the color of the sky. The lightest blue that I have ever seen.

“Wh-who are you?” She stutters out. As I clean her wound and place a bandage over it I speak.

“Calm down. It’s okay. My name is Paul. I found you wounded on my beach.”

“Wounded?”

“Yes,” I point to her now covered gash and her eyes widen. “You had a piece of coral stuck in there. I fixed it for you. I suggest you relaxing for a little while though. I wont hurt you. I promise.” I throw my hands up in the air showing her that I mean no harm.

“Thank you Paul. Where am I may I ask?”

“No problem and you are in Oregon. What is your name?”

“My name is Olivia.” She smiles at me and I find myself liking this girl. She is one of a kind. That’s for sure. I feel as if we have a connection. You know what they say; opposites attract.
