The Impala roared down the road, a lonely strip of asphalt that snaked through the desert at dusk, the sun setting on the horizon, painting the sky with shades of orange and purple, while the shadows of the distant mountains lengthened. The wind blew softly through the open windows, bringing the dry smell of dust and earth. The old car, as always, was immaculate under Dean's care, his grip on the steering wheel firm, a look of concentration etched on his face. Every vibration of the engine echoed in Dean's chest, which seemed as integrated into the car as the pistons themselves.

Castiel sat in the passenger seat, his blue eyes fixed on the landscape outside, but his gaze suggested he was lost in thought. There was a peculiar serenity on his face, as if he were contemplating the meaning of the universe or perhaps reflecting on the weight of his angelic duties. His long, worn coat seemed an extension of his solemn presence, blowing gently as the wind blew through the windows.

In the backseat, Sam adjusted his posture, his broad shoulders squeezing into the uncomfortable seat. He was mentally reviewing the details of the hunt, his eyes fixed on the tablet in his lap, where several pages of research on the creature they were hunting were open. The soft glow of the screen reflected off Sam's face, which held a slight tension—the kind that always appeared before a hunt.

Then, everything changed in an instant.

A sudden gust of wind sent Sam's hair flying, and with a soft pop, a figure magically appeared in the backseat, squeezing in next to Sam as if he'd been there the whole time. Gabriel, with his cocky grin and that unmistakable expression of always being one step ahead, casually crossed his legs as if he were on a throne rather than the Impala. He exuded his mischievous charm, with his carefully tousled blond hair and a leather jacket that gleamed in the last rays of the sun.

Dean jumped so abruptly that he almost lost control of the car.

— WHAT THE HELL, GABRIEL!?

Castiel turned around immediately, his eyes wide. The normally impassive angel looked genuinely surprised.

— Gabriel...? What are you doing here?

However, Sam didn't show any surprise, on the contrary, he sighed deeply, like someone who had been through this many times before. With a simple roll of his eyes, he grumbled:

— Oh, of course...it was just a matter of time.

—Wait, what do you mean, 'it was only a matter of time'? — Dean asked, looking in the rearview mirror, his perplexed expression intensifying.

Before Sam could respond, Gabriel approached Sam on the cramped bench, his usual mischievous smile on his lips. He leaned in exaggeratedly, almost touching Sam, and said in a seductive and uninhibited tone.

— Ah, Sammy... you know I can't stay away from you for long. — His eyes shone as he blinked exaggeratedly.

Sam closed his eyes for a moment, trying to remain patient and shaking his head.

— Really, Gabe? Now? In the middle of a hunt?

Dean watched the scene as if he were watching a car accident in slow motion. His eyes flickered between Gabriel and Sam, his disbelief growing with each passing second.

— Wait a minute, calm the horses! Is he flirting with you, Sam?

— Ah, Deano, relax, this is already something... old.

Castiel, on the other hand, looked just as lost as Dean. He tilted his head, brow furrowed in genuine confusion.

— I don't understand. Why would Gabriel be -?

- I don't believe. They haven't realized it yet. — Sam interrupted Castiel's train of thought with another exasperated sigh.

Gabriel smiled widely, leaning even closer to Sam, one of his arms casually draped over Sam's broad shoulders as he cast a look of mock innocence at Castiel and Dean.

— Oh, Castiel, dear... sometimes you are so naive. Sam and I? We've been together for a while now.

The silence that followed was palpable. Dean stared at Sam; his jaw slightly dropped.

— You what? Since when? What do you mean 'together'!?

Gabriel let out a jovial laugh, clearly enjoying every second of Dean's confusion.

— Oh Dean, you really need to pay more attention to things. — Gabriel winked at Sam again, just to increase the provocation — Sam here can't resist my heavenly charm.

Sam looked up at the roof of the Impala, visibly fighting the urge to disappear from this awkward situation.

— I can resist very well, thank you. — Sam's voice was filled with a mixture of tiredness and affection, something that only Gabriel seemed to recognize.

Dean, now turning to face Castiel for some sort of confirmation, was met only with an equally perplexed look.

— Cas, dude, did you know this?

— No, I hadn't noticed. — Castiel shook his head, his voice thoughtful, as if he was trying to understand not only the current situation, but all the past interactions between Gabriel and Sam that he had ignored.

Gabriel, never one to miss an opportunity to tease, leaned toward Dean, his eyes glinting with mild mischief.

— Ah, Dean, you and Cas have a lot of time to understand what's going on between you two — He winked again, hinting at something that Dean wasn't even remotely ready to process.

Dean blushed immediately, looking away from Castiel, clearly at the suggestion.

— Hey, don't mix things up like that! This is already strange enough. Sam rolled his eyes, sinking into the seat as if he wanted to be swallowed up by the leather.

— Can we please focus on the hunt now? Or will this turn into a romantic comedy?

Gabriel, satisfied with the chaos he had caused, leaned back in his seat with a triumphant smile.

— Ah, Sammy, always so focused on work. I think that's why I like you so much.

Sam snorted, but couldn't help but give a small smile, even though he was frustrated with the situation.

As the Impala drove down the deserted road, the sky darkened above them, but inside the car, the atmosphere was anything but calm. Dean and Castiel stood confused and disconcerted, while Gabriel, ever the provocateur, continued to flirt shamelessly with Sam, who in turn looked increasingly exasperated – but also, perhaps, slightly amused.
