Her Pov
Ding ding. Well there’s the bell.
“Have a good afternoon!” Mrs. Healey called as the class left. Great, now I get to go to French, with Jake. Why is he in so many of my classes?! This is just unfair. And it is WAY too late to even ask if I can change classes seeing as it’s the middle of the third quarter. And of course I just had to date the one guy that was in practically all of my classes. I mean, what happened to my no boy rule? Really I should know better. Whatever, it’s not like I can avoid him forever but I sure can try.
“Bonjour Madame.” I said as I walked through the classroom door.
“Bonjour Alice!” Madame Cameron replied. I sat down and quietly waited for Robert to walk through the door.
“Al. Al. Earth to Al.” Robert said as he waved his hand in front of my face.
“What? Oh, sorry. I must have blanked out.” I looked at him as he sat. He was looking at me funny.
“What?” He looked ashamed.
“What.” I demanded.
“I just want you to know that I’m here for you. Like a shoulder to cry on.” He looked apologetically at me.
“No. Enough of this! I didn’t want a pity party earlier and I sure as hel-” Jake walking through the door caused me to stop. I didn’t realize it earlier but he looked bad, really bad. Not only because of his nosebleed but there were dark half moons under his eyes, his hair was all messy and he looked like he was carrying an unbearable weight. Is it possible the break up hurt him too? I wondered. Wait, no it couldn’t have. If it did he wouldn’t have dumped me in the first place. But the question still lingered in my mind, did Jake still have feelings for me?
