Hey, my lovely readers,

I know it's been months since I last posted, and I truly want to thank you for your patience.
Trust me, it hasn't been easy for me either — with the entire plot living in my head, I just couldn't bring myself to put those emotions into the right words.
But today, I finally did.

I'm really sorry for making you all wait for so long — days, weeks, maybe even months. Life got overwhelming, especially with academics, and I hope you'll understand.

But I'm back now, and here's the next chapter for you.
Let me know how it feels — your thoughts always mean the world to me.

Happy reading!!

When we entered our home, we were completely drenched, from top to bottom. Only then did I realize, what a stupid thought it was to enjoy the rain.

I mean, of course we enjoyed each other's company, and the memory will be forever etched in my mind, but the aftermath isn't something as good as the actions were. Not at least to me, and I'm sure he feels the same.

My frock was stuck on my skin and had become semi-transparent by then and his shirt was no exception giving me a clear view of his broad chest and his faint abs.

Doesn't that mean even he can see through my body?

My thoughts were confirmed when I found him occasionally looking at my dress and quickly diverting his gaze to elsewhere. Okay, the situation might be a little awkward after this lovey-dovey moment we had under the rain.

"I am going to shower, hm?" I let him know and walked past him towards my room only after earning a hesitant nod from him.

Before closing the door, I found him entering his room.

Stripping off my clothes, I stood under the shower. Taking the soap and the bath sponge, I rubbed it gently on my skin while warm water cascaded down my body simultaneously.

I came out in my bathrobe only to find Abhi sitting at the edge of the bed.

The sound of opening the bathroom might have reached his ears which made him look up at me.

Something surely felt different tonight.

I looked at him questioningly and he answered, "The anklets."

"Oh yeah. It just got out of my mind. Let me dry my hairs first." Taking the hair dryer, I stood before the mirror to thoroughly dry my hairs, despite the fact that they were wet up to the scalp.

"It's still raining outside." He spoke. I looked at him through the mirror and found him already looking at me.

My eyes diverted to the windowpane beside the mirror, and I looked at the outside.

"Yes, it is." I replied.

None of us spoke a word but I found him fidgeting his fingers. For the first time in my life. It seemed as if he was contemplating on something.

Why this awkward silence all of a sudden?

"Is there something on your mind, Abhi?" I didn't keep the question to myself thinking sharing his problems might ease his mind.

"Nothing. Don't bother. Dry your hairs properly." He asked me although he didn't look at me. His eyes were cast downwards on his lap.

The hairdryer wasn't in a good working condition and my hairs were still a little damp. But I left it be. I returned to him and took a seat beside him.
