Jungkook gazed in awe at the sprawling library before him, its towering shelves filled with an ocean of books that seemed to stretch on forever. His eyes sparkled with adoration, reflecting the warmth of the sun filtering through the large windows. Each book appeared to beckon to him, whispering secrets of adventure, love, and mystery.
With a childlike curiosity, he took soft, careful steps into the vast room, his heart fluttering like a butterfly set free. The air was thick with the scent of aged paper and leather bindings, a comforting aroma that wrapped around him like a warm hug.
As he wandered deeper into the library, Jungkook ran his fingers along the spines of the books, the smooth textures grounding him in the moment. He felt a sense of calm wash over him, the quiet solitude of the library providing a sanctuary from the chaotic world outside. Each book he touched felt like a treasure waiting to be discovered, filled with worlds that were different yet inviting.
Jungkook moved toward a particularly ornate shelf, where a collection of fairy tales caught his eye. The beautifully illustrated covers sparkled in the light, and he pulled one out, admiring the cover art. He sat down on a plush chair nearby, sinking into its softness as he opened the book to reveal vibrant illustrations and whimsical stories.
As he began to read, he lost track of time, completely engrossed in the tales of brave knights and magical creatures. The characters came to life in his mind, transporting him to fantastical realms where anything was possible.
Jungkook was so absorbed in his book that he didn't notice the faint noise coming from the far corner of the library. But as the sound grew louder, he jolted in surprise. With a quiet squeak, he quickly closed the book, leaving it on the couch, and rose cautiously.
He moved slowly, taking careful, quiet steps toward the source of the noise. But as he approached, he noticed the atmosphere around him shifting. The once-muted tones of the library transformed into warm, inviting hues. Soft, stylish lamps illuminated art pieces on canvas that seemed to appear out of nowhere, each one arranged thoughtfully on the nearby tables.
The entire space felt as if it was leading him somewhere — like he had stepped into a completely different world within the library itself.
Jungkook's steps halted as his gaze landed on a figure standing atop a ladder, holding a palette in one hand and gracefully painting with the other. He gasped, a little too loudly, and the man seemed to hear him. Panicking, Jungkook squeaked and ducked behind a nearby couch, peeking out cautiously to catch a glimpse of what was unfolding before him.
What he saw left him utterly stunned.
There, with a blank, almost haunting expression, stood an identical twin of Kim Taehyung. This was Kim V, the one who hid his face from the world, now bathed in the soft glow of the lamps, his sea-blue eyes reflecting the light. But while they shone brightly, his eyes were hollow, as if hiding an unfathomable emptiness.
