It was a peaceful morning, one of those rare serene moments in the Kim mansion when the walls didn't echo with plans, secrets, or the rustle of long coats and loaded guns. Instead, the clinking of cutlery and soft laughter filled the dining room. The golden morning light poured in through the tall windows, resting softly on each face at the long table.

The dining room glowed in a soft golden light as the early morning sun filtered through the silk curtains. The Kim mansion, with all its gothic elegance and quiet dominance, felt warmer—softer—whenever Jungkook was in the room.

The long mahogany table was set with ornate porcelain, delicate silverware, and an array of traditional and continental breakfast dishes.

Jungkook sat with Jisoo on the right wing of the table, their heads slightly tilted toward each other, whispering and giggling over some secret gossip—gossip Jungkook had eagerly absorbed from his mischievous sister. He giggled quietly, eyes curling into crescent moons, his shoulders shaking with joy as Jisoo whispered yet another absurd tale of one of their cousins' scandalous antics.

Across the table, Kim Taehyung and Kim V sat, their expressions unreadable—but their eyes, burning. Both twins were staring, unblinking, drinking in the sight in front of them like a prayer they dared not disturb.

Jungkook looked divine that morning. Draped in a deep crimson shirt, the color kissed his pale skin like a secret. The fabric clung delicately to his frame, accentuated by the glimmer of subtle gold and ruby jewellery that adorned his collar and wrists—ornaments Jisoo had gleefully styled for him.

The morning light danced off the gemstones, casting glistening specks of red across Jungkook's cheeks and the tip of his small nose. He looked like he was blushing, glowing with a beauty that felt almost otherworldly. But it wasn't shyness this time—just the light, the crimson silk, and the way he existed, effortlessly breathtaking.

Kim Taehyung had one elbow lazily propped against the armrest of his chair, fingers curled beneath his chin. His eyes—dark, narrowed, dangerously unreadable—traced the line of Jungkook's jaw, down to the way his crimson shirt clung softly to his frame, accentuating the new softness of his cheeks. His gaze dipped further to the little jewels embedded into the fabric near the collar—sparkling like stars, but nothing compared to the twinkle in the boy's eyes. Taehyung's tongue swept across his lower lip in a subtle motion as he leaned forward a little, his voice low but distinct.

"He shouldn't be allowed to look like that this early in the morning."

Beside him, V sat composed and silent, his gloved hands folded over his lap, posture perfect. His masked face revealed nothing, but his eyes—those piercing, frozen-blue eyes—never wavered from the boy across from him. The soft red light that bounced off Jungkook's cheeks made his heart ache in a way he would never admit out loud. A creature of control, of shadows and silence, yet when he looked at Jungkook, he saw sunlight—radiance in the form of a boy.
