The Secret Lovers

Chapter 25

Arriving at Antoniyo's at 4am, Rhyon texted Kalleigh and asked was she coming home? She replied no and told him that she was at her cousins, that she would be back sometime later and that she loved him. They went inside and grabbed a shower and Antoniyo gave her one of his T-Shirts and some boxers.

Antoniyo cut on a movie and they both ended up falling asleep on it. It was now August 20th, Kalleigh's OBGYN appointment, but this time she took Antoniyo. Dr. Rome did not question who he was, she just went on with the ultrasound. She asked Kalleigh did she have any questions and Kalleigh replied no and sat up and smiled.

It was now October 10th, Kalleigh's gender reveal at her mom's house. Rhyon finally told his parents about him becoming a father and they came to support. Everyone was there: Ma'Kailah, Antoniyo, Antoniyo's mom, a couple friends from high school, all Kalleigh's family, etc. Kalleigh was turned around talking to Ma'Kailah and Antoniyo as Rhyon walked up with both of his parents.

Rhyon called Kalleigh's name and as he was telling her to meet his parents, Rhonda Lee, and Rhyontay Brooks, during her turning around she noticed it was Dr. Brooks. She dropped her cup of punch and Dr. Brooks bent down to pick up her cup, stuck out his hand and told her it was nice to meet her.

Kalleigh nervously shook his hand and luckily her mother called her over to meet some of her friends. Kalleigh pulled out her phone and texted Antoniyo and told him that they needed to talk ASAP! They met at his car and she told him that Dr. Brooks was Rhyon's father and that he was here at the reveal.

Antoniyo made her swear and she did. Kalleigh told him that his dad played it cool and acted like he hadn't met her before. He told her that it could possibly be a good thing but suggested that she went and talked to him. Kalleigh took Antoniyo's advice and approached Dr. Brooks and asked could she have a word with him.

He excused himself from Rhonda and walked off to the side with Kalleigh. Kalleigh explained that it was not supposed to have happened like this and she did not know. She continued by saying that all of this was an accident and she has not told Rhyon yet. Dr. Brooks told her that it was not his place to say anything, but she should tell Rhyon soon.

He went further to say that he knows by firsthand experience that this was not going to end how she would expect. Dr. Brooks cheated on Rhyon's mom while she was pregnant with Rhyon and got another woman pregnant. The woman kept the baby and he got caught at the baby shower by Rhonda. He was playing both, Rhonda, and Sharon, but did not know they were friends and Rhonda had an invite to the baby shower.

That is why Rhonda and Dr. Brooks got divorced, but Rhyon didn't know this information. Kalleigh emotions got the best of her and she started to cry. Dr. Brooks hugged her and told her that the secrets safe with him, but at least one of the babies is Rhyon's.

Kalleigh dried her eyes and went to the bathroom to fix her make up. It was now time for the reveal and everyone gathered around. They had a silhouette target on the tree and the paint ball guns were filled with either pink or blue paint. Monica, Kalleigh's mom, did a countdown and at 1, they both shot and the target consisted of both blue and pink splashes.

Kalleigh was having both a girl and a boy. Everyone cheered and Kalleigh looked at Antoniyo and smiled. Rhyon hugged Kalleigh and told her he was excited, that was exactly what he wanted.
