Chapter 11

Ten minutes passed and Rhyon came in the room crying and smiling to see that his girlfriend was alive. Dr. Broadnax came back into the room to give Kalleigh an update. Dr. Hughes introduced Rhyon as Kalleigh's boyfriend and they shook hands as Dr. Broadnax began to look weird and looked at Kalleigh and Antoniyo.

She told Kalleigh that she was going to be back to normal in no time, and that there were not any major issues that she should be worried about. She also told Kalleigh that her baby was healthy and that they were both going to be fine.

Rhyon and Kalleigh looked at each other and smiled as they questioned "baby", Kalleigh did not know that she was pregnant. Rhyon went over to kiss her as he cried and said that they were going to be parents. Dr. Hughes smiled and said "I'm going to be a grandma" as she went over to hug her daughter.

Dr. Broadnax saw the sad expression on Antoniyo's face as she asked him to step outside for a second. He kissed Ma'Kailah's forehead and told her that he was going to be right back. Dr. Broadnax told him that she knew it was not her place, but she could not help but notice his facial expressions.

The first one when she first told them in the waiting room that Kalleigh was pregnant and he smirked and once Rhyon and Kalleigh found out, he looked hurt. She told him that whatever he said, if he decided to tell her anything, was going to be between them. He did not trust it because she worked with Kalleigh's mom.

Antoniyo responded that he did not know what she was talking about and excused himself from the conversation and went back into the room. Dr. Broadnax came back into the room a few seconds later and told them that Kalleigh was good to be released tomorrow.

Antoniyo hugged Kalleigh and told her to call him tomorrow and to get some rest. Ma'Kailah said goodbye and told Dr. Hughes that it was nice meeting her and they left and went to Ma'Kailah's house. It was 5am and Antoniyo could not sleep. He sat up at the edge of the bed and looked back at Ma'Kailah to make sure she was still sleep.

He pulled out his phone and started to look at pictures of him and Kalleigh from over the years. Antoniyo still could not believe that him and the actual love of his life were going to start a family. Ma'Kailah woke up a little and told him to come back to bed and he closed out the pictures and locked his phone. He went back over to Ma'Kailah and wrapped his arms around her and went to sleep.
