*Trigger Warning: Implications of SA*
Nico felt fine.
The worst thing about his situation was the throbbing pain in his chest, but that would go away. Hurting every time he breathed in was a small price to pay for now having to go to the hospital.
He hadn't had enough time to actually process it last time he'd come because of the situation, but he really hated hospitals.
They reminded him of when Bianca died.
His father had told him that his mother was dead almost immediately, that soft and gentle nature that came with Nico's family.
So they'd rushed to the hospital for Bianca, Hades had been shouting at Nico the whole way and Nico was just confused.
Nico truthfully didn't remember much after that. Just that he was sad. And angry. And pain. Though he didn't know if that pain was emotional or physical, it's hard to tell these days.
"Nico?"
Nico's head snapped up, he realized he was sitting in the back of Will's jeep. Will was standing right outside his door, looking concerned.
"What?" Nico mumbled, still annoyed at him for insisting they go to the hospital.
"Come on." Will smiled at him and scooped him up.
Nico could have argued, maybe try and get Will to put him down, but he was tired. He was always tired.
Will carried them inside and walked up to the receptionist's desk.
"Ma'am?" Will asked politely, getting her attention.
The lady looked up and her eyes widened, she immediately stood up, looking concerned.
"What happened?" She called for help.
"He was attacked," Someone ran out and tried to take Nico away from Will, but he wrapped his arms around the boy's waist, refusing. Will was warm.
"Has he lost blood?" A nurse asked, "He looks really pale."
Will chuckled, but it sounded sad, "He's always pale. He never goes outside."
Nico looked up at him, glaring, "I go outside, we were just at the park."
Will shrugged. The nurse looked concerned.
"Sorry, I thought you were asleep, or I would have addressed you. Let's get you to a room."
Will followed him, Nico just tucked his face back into Will's chest. He didn't want to deal with people right now.
Will tried to put Nico down on a bed, Nico didn't love that. He tried to tighten his grip, keep Will close to him, but Will pried his arms off him.
"Sorry Nico." Will leaned down and kissed his forehead, "They're gonna help you."
"I know they're gonna fucking help me," Nico muttered, pulling away and glaring at him, "I'm not a idiot."
Will just chuckled and grabbed his hand. The nurse smiled at them then came over to stand next to Nico.
"Where does it hurt?" He asked, pulling on gloves.
"Mentalmente o fisicamente?" Nico smiled slightly.
"Nico please." Will seemed sincere, Nico frowned, but he complied.
"My chest. But it's nothing, Will's just over reacting."
"Okay, I'm going to press down, tell me where it hurts." He gently pressed down on Nico's chest, he felt pain flare up and he had to bite his tongue to stop himself from gasping.
