*Trigger warning: Violence, Cursing*
Will's Pov
From the looks of it Nico had started to accept the fact that Hazel was leaving.
At first Will could tell that it was affecting him. He was a lot quieter when she was around and was constantly glaring at Frank.
But now that Hazel seemed to be making an effort to spend as much time as possible with him Nico seemed a lot happier.
Right now they were laying in Will's bed. He was holding Nico close to him while the boy was scrolling on his phone. He just liked being close to his soulmate. It was just like people had described it, like his soul was complete. He was whole.
Nico looked up at him with those big brown eyes, looking a bit hopeful.
"Jason just texted me, he wants to know if we want to go hang out at the park for a while."
Will thought about it for a moment, it would be better if Nico got out for a while. He'd been spending more time outside since his father passed and it was showing, but he was still a bit pale.
"Sure, I'll go get Hazel."
Nico smiled at him as he got up and walked over to the guest room.
He knocked on Hazel's door and she called that it was open, he poked his head into the room and saw her on her bed, it looked like she was texting someone.
"Hazel?" She glanced up from her phone and smiled at him, "Jason wants to know if you want to go to the park. Nico and I are planning on going."
"Nico's going?" Hazel seemed to debate it for a second before nodding, "I'll be out in a few minutes."
Will nodded and went back over to his room, where Nico was still staring at his phone. His eyes looked a little shiny, like he was going to cry.
"Nico?" Will hurriedly walked over to the bed, sitting down next to the boy, "What's wrong? Are you okay?"
Nico looked up at him and turned off his phone, shoving it in his pocket.
"I'm fine, is Hazel ready?"
Will wanted to ask him again, to figure out what was wrong. But it was obvious Nico didn't want to talk about it.
"She said she would be a minute." He cautiously wrapped his arm around Nico, the boy flinched away and he quickly pulled his arm back. He had his days where he didn't want Will to touch him. Most of the time he didn't tell Will why, and truthfully Will didn't think he had a reason. He just didn't want to be touched, and Will would respect that.
Nico nodded, giving Will what looked like a forced smile and getting out of bed, "I call driving."
"Um," Will was confused for a moment, "Do you have your license? I thought you said your dad wouldn't bring you to get one."
Nico just shrugged, "Do I really need one? I know how to drive, it's easy."
Will was a bit shocked, "Easy? It's dangerous to drive without a license, you could be arrested. People get licenses for a reason."
Nico just shrugged, walking out of the room. Will hurried to follow him.
"Fine, I'll let you drive," Nico groaned, he whispered under his breath, "Buzzkill."
"I heard that."
"You were supposed to." Nico smirked at him and walked over to Hazel's room, knocking on the door.
"Hazel, we're ready to leave whenever you are."
Will didn't hear her response, but a few moments later she stepped out of the room, smiling at Nico.
