Will's Pov

Nico was hiding something.

It was obvious after Hazel left. He was really quiet all of a sudden and barely made eye contact with Will.

Will didn't want to pressure him into talking about something he was uncomfortable with, but he was beginning to get worried.

So he did what he could, he tried to make the boy as comfortable as he could be with him.

They were laying on Will's bed watching a show in his laptop when Nico paused it. He'd been fidgeting with his hands for a while now so Will guessed he was nervous.

"What's up Nico?" Will looked over at him.

"Will, I need to tell you something."

"What?" Will squeezed him slightly, but Nico pulled away, pulling his arm off him.

"I-" Nico hesitated, "Nevermind, let's unpause the show."

Will wanted to press him but he knew it wouldn't help.

They just watched the show. Will could wait.

Nico's Pov

He was a fucking idiot.

Why'd he think he could do this? Will would think he was disgusting.

He wanted to talk to him, he really did. But he couldn't.

He wanted Will to love him. And if Will knew how damaged he really was, how broken he really was. He wouldn't do that.

So he didn't say anything.

Will was getting suspicious of him, it was obvious. But he was too nice to pry.

They were snuggling on the couch, watching some random Disney movie with Kayla when Naomi walked in.

"Nico? Can we talk?"

Nico narrowed his eyebrows, glancing at Will who nodded at him. He got up and followed Naomi over to the kitchen.

"I just got a call. The detective investigating your father's case asked if we could come over to the station tomorrow. Would you be okay with that?"

"My fathers case?" Nico was confused, "I thought that was already settled. They interrogated me and everything."

Naomi frowned, "Yes, my lawyer is trying to get it ruled as self defense but it's more complicated than it seems. They're looking into your history. It's turned into a child abuse case honey."

Nico stared at her for a moment, "What?"

She sighed, "He might be dead but with what they're learned so far they need to investigate further about the abuse. They're wondering if you'll need counseling or mental help."

Nico laughed, "I'm not crazy. I don't need help, I'm fine."

Will walked over, "Dealing just fine? With what?"

Nico just glared at him, Naomi forced a smile.

"Nico's been requested to come to the police station tomorrow for an update on the investigation. I think it would be best if you actually came with us."

Will glanced at Nico then agreed.

Nico flipped Naomi off and walked upstairs, done with this.

If they found the cameras, if they told Naomi.

Nico didn't know what to do.
