Mia finally started to drift off to sleep when her phone started ringing, she saw the name 'My sweetheart 🖤' and the biggest smile appeared on her face. "Hey sweethe-" "Mia" Charlotte said barely above a whisper, Mia could tell she was holding back tears. "Baby whats wrong?" She heard Char sniffle before she replied, "Can you come over?" Mia knew Charlotte would avoid her question, she never liked talking about her feelings, "of course i can do you need anything?" "No thank you" Mias heart broke at how upset char sounded. "okay im on my way sweetheart" Mia replied before hanging up.

She pulled up outside Chars house and walked inside, she heard sniffing from Charlottes bedroom. "sweetheart?" Mia whispered while walking in. "Mia? y-ou act-ually came?" She said still sobbing. Charlottes ex-husband never cared if she was upset he would usually yell at her for being 'too emotional' which is why Char tends not to open up, "Of course I did baby" Mia walked over and held Char against her chest. "I- I wa-" Charlotte tried to speak but got cut off as she started crying harder again. Mias heart was breaking, whoever did this to her sweetheart would more than likely regret it, "Char just deep breaths thats it" Mia knew Char bottled up her feelings, she just had to be patient and make sure Charlotte knew Mia loved her and would never judge her.

"I- He c-ame" Mias expression dropped, she had an idea of who she was talking about, "who came sweetheart?" She tightened her grip on Char, "Jack" Chars voice was becoming quieter with each sentence, she fell into another set of sobs, Mia climbed onto the bed, still holding Char while whispering into her ear, "youre okay, youre safe now, im here, I wont let anyone hurt you" she noticed Lolo on Chars nightstand, she reached over and picked her up before placing her next to Chars head. "Baby?" Char looked up, still sniffling slightly. She noticed Lolo and grabbed her holding her close to her chest. "Can you tell me what he did?" Char shook her head, "did he threaten you sweetheart?" Charlotte fell into Mias chest, her sniffles becoming sobs again, "my angel its okay im here, noone can hurt you I promise" once Charlottes sobs had calmed down Mia heard a faint whisper, "h-he heard about you and me"

Mia knew he would have called her all sorts of horrible names, "char?" Charlotte looked up at Mia and saw nothing but love in her eyes, "whatever he said or called you I promise you its not true, youre the most beautiful, kind, caring person on this planet" Char started to tear up, she was always worried she wasnt good enough for Mia. "You really think im beautiful?" It wasnt that Mia never said it, she was always telling Char how beautiful she was. Charlotte even overheard Mia talking to her mum on the phone about her, "Shes perfect. Shes drop dead gorgeous but what i love most about her is her heart" Mia doesnt know Char had heard that conversation and Char never plans to tell her. Charlotte was overwhelmed with emotions right now. "Sweetheart I know i say it alot but I really do mean it, youre the most beautiful girl, inside and out." Mia held her close placing soft kisses all over her face, Char started giggling before whispering "youre cute".

Mia knew Jack coming back would bring back memories for Charlotte but she would be there every step of the way. Before she met Char, Mia was close to giving up, everything in her world was crashing, the traces to her father lead to nothing, roger was using her, noone liked her, but when she met Char she had never been happier. Charlotte didnt know it but she was who saved Mia.

Charlotte knew she would have flashbacks after seeing his face again, but with Mia next to her, she felt safe. She never had to talk about things if she didnt want to, if she was in pain Mia would do her best to help. She was so close to losing herself during her divorce, the years and years of abuse he put her through but Mia never left her when she had a nightmare, she let Charlotte show her emotions and she never judged. Mia didnt know it but she was who saved Charlotte.
